2nd test outcome forecast

Dear guppies,
Dear guppies,
Please give your 2 cents (about 1 ruppe 20 paise for Pak and less than 1 rupee for the Indians). I think the test will end in draw because:

  1. All other bowlers except Gul, failed to impress. Pathan’s 49 is proof of that.
  2. Sehwag, Dravid and laxman got themselves out fishing.
  3. Tendya’s dismissal coild have gone either way. I think Toufffel was suffering from guilt complex about Inzi’s ist test dismissal.
  4. Pak need 300+ lead at a decent run rate, a 4+ an over. An unlikely scenario. However, if they do manage it then that means pitch is playing well and Indians will be more formidable in their 2nd outing.
  5. Indians are capable of batting more than 1 1/2 days in what will be a placid pitch.

However. Pak does have couple of things in their favor:

  1. All newly or soon to be married Indians wife are there in Lahor. Dravid,Laxman etc. may be hurrying back to enjoy their honeymoons again.
  2. Pak has one extra player on their side in Agarkar. He will make sure that juicy half volleys will keep coming. As for his all-rounder credintials, well, Bishen Bedi has correctly stated " If agarkar is an all rounder I am a world class opening bat"

Inzi had been criticized for his decisions. Why did Dravid choose to bat first on a bowler friendly track ? Did he think they were going to score 700 again ?:smack:

Why don't you tell us after the test is OVER. Before Pathan's arrival, this is what Miandad said about Pathan. With our current line up, you don't need "lethal" bowling. Just any bowler who can keep decent line and length will do it for them, be it Ajit or Nehra or Pathan. So stop counting on their bowler's weaknesses.

captain,
Pathan was a rookie and therefore an unkown (Aus. was his first outing). Agarkar is an oldie. His record is well known. He manages to bowl well once every 10-15 tests or ODIs. His batting ability has been proven to be pathetic in all form of games.
His inclusion in the Indian side has a lot to do with serious lack of right arm medium pace bowlers in India and a strong mumbai lobby (read tendulkar, same as it was with Kambli).
Anyways, It is supposed to be an opinion.

WHO ARE YOU?

I am a legend in my own mind. Does that answer your question ?:snooty:

No. That just tells me you’re just a self-praising complexed little introvert.

Thank you. Dr. Fraud:nahnah:
