If Lara wants to enforce a result, then another quik 50 runs tomorrow morning and declare and put Pakistan to bat. We know how quikly can Pak batsmen crumble under pressure. This will set the series alive.

Brilliant Lara in action…awesome to watch him bat like that.

Lets see if Inzi can perform the master of preassure :). Its good to see the match is not one sided.

Apart from that I think we should praise Gul too. He bowled so WELL it was so much fun to watch him trying so hard to get a wicket but too bad he was very nunlucky. Well done Gul and Lara :k:

wonderful and delightful innings by Lara, he indeed steal the show and limelight, rightly so :k: and well supported by Bravo, Only if the same was true for Pakistan team Grrrrr…chota jadugar lost his magic touch and butter finger is still buttering up the catches :o
Inzi dont give them biryani for the lunch and hand 'em daal chawal so they get better at the game

hahahah Jst saw danish Cussing at Bravo and showing him way out aftre he dismissed him.....his around the wicket line was pretty good against the Right handed.....if Pak get Brian out, Danish can finish off rest of winidins tomorrow!!!!!

Few observations and comments:
1. Did any one else also noticed, when Lara hit 4 on first ball and Kaneria forced him to block the second ball, Kaneria asked him to hit and Lara went on a rampage.
2. When Gul troubled Lara with 2 shot pitch balls, one landed close to Nazir, who pretended that he didnt see it coming, and second one that fall between Nazir and Yousaf, why didn't someone ask Gul to try few more short pitch? Lara might have despatched them for four or even sixes but there was a chance for an edge, since Lara was in a mood of accepting challenge.
3. After Kaneria over of 26 runs, Inzi should have allowed him an other over, to keep challenging Lara, who knows it may have resulted in a stumping or LONG ON/OFF catch.

Should we call it poor captaincy?

You don’t write someone like Lara off that simply. He may not have been at his best this year but scores of 61, 122 and 196* aren’t all that horrible. His Champions Trophy wasn’t that great but he did come up with the goods against Australia. All players go through rough patches, even the very best. The true greats are those who rise out of them better than ever before.

So, no, we aren’t being carted around by a has-been. Find me a better display of mauling spin. You probably will, but it will be Lara again.:bash:

If you want a true has- been, then Sachin Tendulkar is your man.

Good observation.
As for your point # 3: you know, overall our team uses defensive startegies which shouldn't be the case all the time. But thats how it is.
And its weird that twice the ball was landed close to Yousaf and being a Vice Captian, he didn't think of advising Gul to try few more short pitch
