Re: 2nd Test - Nov 19 @ Multan Pak - W.Indies
119/0, this is getting ridiculous.

Re: 2nd Test - Nov 19 @ Multan Pak - W.Indies
ask the windies, they’re loving it…
and on pitches like these, if u dont throw away wickets (like all our batters did), this is exactly what u get…
122/0
Re: 2nd Test - Nov 19 @ Multan Pak - W.Indies
West Indies: 122/0. WINDIES in full command
Re: 2nd Test - Nov 19 @ Multan Pak - W.Indies
We're looking at 500+ for the Windies :(
Re: 2nd Test - Nov 19 @ Multan Pak - W.Indies
West Indies: 146/0 still no sign of loosing a wicket :(

Pak up against it now. Need to check WI lead to c. 100, and make sure they get there slowly as to kill time. 6/94 on that strip first up this morning was abysmal, they all got out trying to play hero.
WI batted well.
Game:
Pak. 350
WI. 450
Pak. 350
WI... chasing 250.
Who knows.
Razzaq must get the chop.
Re: 2nd Test - Nov 19 @ Multan Pak - W.Indies
if the series gets to 1-1, i can only thin of a 2-1 in favor of windies, pak can never recover from such a thing....
Re: 2nd Test - Nov 19 @ Multan Pak - W.Indies
Yaar there is a long way to go yet.
Re: 2nd Test - Nov 19 @ Multan Pak - W.Indies
Just a bad day at teh office and the knives are out. Chill everyone and asking for Razzak's head is bit premature. one bad match and lets hang the guy, what a superb approach we have.
Re: 2nd Test - Nov 19 @ Multan Pak - W.Indies
WI are notorious for TOTAL batting collapse ![]()
Once the openers are gone - LARA would probably stick it out a little bit
The rest of their BOIZE have a fondness for sharing the same ciggarette in the dressing room
Tu chal main ayaa ![]()
So if they are 150/0
they would probably be 200 for 6
and maybe 250 all out ![]()
Re: 2nd Test - Nov 19 @ Multan Pak - W.Indies
I personally don't agree with the crazy idea of announcing 15 players for two test matches in a home series, when domestic season is in progress. I would rather announce 13 players for each test and only few days before the match, so that I could allow maximum number of players to play domestic cricket and at the same time will keep the opposition guessing about the wicket.
If Pakistan wasn't announcing 14/15 players for two test, at present based on Pakistan team performance and domestic season form, I would have brought in Sami for Razzaq, because of his pace and decent batting skills, or if I was playing safe, I would have brought in Naveed ul Hassan, he is more of a bowling alrounder, especially with his 5 wickets and 124 runs in a recent match.
This strategy will also allow Yasir Hameed and others to get match practice, since they are not needed for the game.
I still believe Pakistan would have been better off to have Samiullah Niazi instead of Razzaq. I am sure Pakistan would have added 16 runs by tail, since Razzaq denied many runs to Nazir, Gul and at the end Kaneria. If tail was doing their normal batting they would have added much more runs than 16.
Especially if PAK selection committee was not announcing team for two tests, they could have brought in Sami, yes M. Sami or Naveed ul Hassan (recently made 124), which would have allowed them a good bowler along with decent batter. And who knows, WI may have few wickets down.
Pathetic for selection committee and management. I don't know if we should credit Lara for excellent field placing and good use of his bowlers, he bowled 91 overs on first day, and restricted PAK to 263 (under 3 runs an over) when wickets were not coming, and then got remaining 6 wickets, while keeping scoring rate in control on day 2. It was positive batting by WI openers. They are in for an exciting positive game. Inzi is on defensive and playing for draw from day 1 of the match. I am sure Pakistan will only get a breakthrough when Inzi will go off field for an extended length of time.
Excellent batting by Razzaq. He should be ashame of himself, he made Multan wicket look so hard to bat on.
Re: 2nd Test - Nov 19 @ Multan Pak - W.Indies
exactly. Give him a break. He was instructed to play slow. And if was beaten a few times - so what. Don't our regular batsmen are beaten so many times in test matches?
Anyone can have bad day. How many times, he has won the matches for us. And how about our openers, the same guys over & over - how many times they've played a superb innings??
Re: 2nd Test - Nov 19 @ Multan Pak - W.Indies
Mr. Breeze, Razzaq definitely saved PAK few test matches, but I can't recall if he ever won a test match for PAK. He did help Pakistan win a test againts Sri Lanka but that was with bowling in Karachi. Otherwise he is just a stock bowler, and extremely boring batsman when he start blocking the ball. Unlike Malik he can't change his game according to the situation, if he blocks he will block for ever and if he hits than he keeps hitting.
It was the most unfortunate innings that denied PAK atleast 20-30 runs, that could have came from Nazir, Gul and Kaneria bats if he wasn't refusing possible singles and forcing them to play defensive.
Re: 2nd Test - Nov 19 @ Multan Pak - W.Indies
Now anyone missing a specialist seamer
Those who were advocating Razzaq’s inclusion, please think again at this stage of the game. Are we not short of a specialist bowler?
And I said the above before the match started and it has proved me right, so I am not jumping in the bandwagon, nor I am suffering a panic. Infact I have been saying this for ages, to play specialists in test. No matter how big is a name, the final 11 must be selected based on the conditions and form. Razzaq can’t deliver in tests anymore. Now, he might come back tomorrow and take last 4 wickets, that will cost us 10 more test matches before he performs like that again. How many times we are going to repeat this storyline?
Re: 2nd Test - Nov 19 @ Multan Pak - W.Indies
you guys are talking as if specialist bowlers were doing wonderful and Razzaq was providing relief to batsmen (as bowler).
Re: 2nd Test - Nov 19 @ Multan Pak - W.Indies
chalo dekhtain hain…
If they collapse then yes they could be all out for 250.
Re: 2nd Test - Nov 19 @ Multan Pak - W.Indies
Things not looking good, Kaneria's average is in the last 20 tests has been 37, last 15 tests 41, last 10 tests 45, better and better huh.
Re: 2nd Test - Nov 19 @ Multan Pak - W.Indies
Everybody shut put
Khabardaar jo kisee nay razzi ko kuch kaha. Razzi is a cheeta player good for all seasons. Kal razzi 5-for lega to sab uskay guN gaaingay.
Re: 2nd Test - Nov 19 @ Multan Pak - W.Indies
^ off all the bowlers yesterday, Razzaq's economy rate was best (not counting Malik as he bowled just one over), but some people soooooo na shukray!
