He was not unbeaten:

46.4 Tendulkar to Saeed Anwar OUT: c Ganguly b Tendulkar 194 runs, 146 balls

^^

aaj ka score card parh ker dil khush ho gaya.

I hope k Pakistan build on this lead. If Pakistan dont lose early wickets they can score at the rate of around 3.5 - 4.00 and this will take the lead to the vicinity of 325-350 in 70 overs. They should ask India to play atleast 15-20 overs on 3rd day. I dont want Pakistan to chase anything more than 200 in 4th inning.

oh and by they way all the sites (like cricinfo, cricketnext…) have talked about “how bad umpiring was” in very first paragrahs of their reports in contrast of the very last during ODIs :hehe:

Saeeds 194 is UNBEATEN ODI record for the highest score in one day international matches. I wasn’t talking about saeed unbeaten… but his score.

"
…India were made to repent for such lapses after lunch. A flurry of strokes from Farhat and Inzamam put paid to their containment plans, with Anil Kumble coming in for special punishment. Inzamam cut and swept him with ease, while Farhat played two magnificent off-drives off his bowling. When they weren’t hitting boundaries, the duo pushed the ball into the gaps and ran hard, as runs came at four an over… Kumble ki rooti surat daikhney k qabil ho gee

In the final minutes of the day’s play, Kumble had two other huge appeals for leg before against Inzamam turned down by Bucknor, and his frustration – Inzamam had to be calmed down after Kumble nearly brained him with an unnecessary throw back to the keeper – summed up India’s plight, as Pakistan finished the day having laid the platform for a formidable first-innings score. After the ignominious defeat in Multan, Inzamam’s team needed him to come up with something special. On another hot day, in front of a small smattering of fans, he did just that. kumble shud be banned

Bat quickly tommorow and put on 250'ish in 50-60 overs then bowl India out for under 300 on days 3 and 4.

Job done!

The lead is still only 60 so we should just carry on batting like this till the lead's about 150 then we can accelerate. There's still 3 days to go, we need to target 500+ as a score and a lead of 250 will allow us to really pile on the pressure with attacking fields for India's 2nd innings.

This has been one of Pakistan's best batting performances for some time, even accounting for the fact that we have improved drastically in this dept since the WC. The Indian bowling was good with Pathan and Balaji especially threatening, but all the batsmen stood up to be counted and contributed to several partnerships. Without a doubt though the highlight was Inzi who came out from the first ball and never looked like giving the Indians a sniff. As a batsman Inzimam has matured and is in his prime. He'll be looking for 200 tomorrow and not many would bet against it.

This has been all Pakistan so far first two days but they've been made to work hard for it. Now we need to keep it going for another day and set the bowlers up to level the series.

Yep I remember his face that time. Tums I agree with you NO BODY should complain about the Umpiring as we were beaten almost for the same reason in the first 1st test matches

bhai logon abhi toh 3 days baki hain, na! I am happy that you guys are happy...I wish you happiness on day 5 as well. Let's keep an eyes on the eggs and don't count the chickadees, yet.

By lunch tomorrow, Pakistan can get itself into a situation where they will not lose the match. If they can put 100 without losing more than a wicket than Pakistan can either win or India might draw.

A draw is very much still on the cards. India is one of the few teams that can bat their way out of trouble. Still if we can have another good day with the bat tomorrow a win for Pakistan would be the most likely result which will set us up nicely for Rawalpindi :k:

LEts just hope paki dont loose tempo from hereon.....

I wanna see the big man making a double ton......

Very nice, very nice. :mash: :subhan:

Great batting effort by Inzi, Youhanna and Imran Farhat (finally). Why did Imran get out on 101? was he too happy and lost temperament there?

:jhanda:

Come’on Pakistan, build up a lead of 300 and demolish Indian batting and make us happy, all smiles :k: :insha:

that decides it then, from now on, all I need to do is sleep through the night (like I did today), instead of following the test match , and the series will be ours.

I can do that, no problemo :jhanda:

so you are also one of those :bummer:

I watched the 1st ODI, and last ODI, we lost both :crying:
Then I watched/followed parts of 1st test, and we lost. I slept thru so I’ll check only in morning the deeds of our players, and it was good news.

:insha: I won’t follow (ball-by-ball) updates anymore for Pakistan games, at least for this particular series.

This happens with me too. Every time I stay up to watch the match, Pakistan suffers. I think I am the culprit here. I apologize to all the Pakistani supporters here. I will sleep through the night and follow the scores on GS.
