(1) Shoaib Akhtar CHUCKS - as sure as sun rises in the East
Its incredible how he can get away with this. His bouncers esp - the guy simply chucks them hard into the deck..it is as clear as daylight to the naked eye...the commentators of course would not pick on it...trying to be politically correct and all......as a cricket fan it is shameful that he should be hero-worshipped when he should really be banned.....and please I am not saying this because I am an Indian. AKHTAR CHUCKS - that is all there is to it. May be Harbhajan chucks too, but he isn't the kind of hero Akhtar is made out to be with his FAST bowling/chucking.
(2) India's fielding shut the door on India's chances in this test I think. Misbah should have been caught by Tendulkar very early in his innings. Akmal was dropped by Munaf. Sami was dropped by Dravid.
(3) Among the Pak players, I am only impressed by Misbah. He makes batting look very easy much like Inzimam and is a great player of spin.
Salman Butt, regardless of the runs he has scored in this series, would be easy meat on livelier tracks. The guy slashes/cuts at everything outside off. No wonder he is often caught in the slips....on slow Indian wickets he has been getting away with it.
some1 just a nitpick.i think u know it too.in ur signature the word "sikhata" must have choti "e" ki matara on "s" vyanjan not on "kh" vyanjan :) .

*Although a draw still seems the most plausible result, Pakistan are not out of the woods by any means. If for instance India score a quickfire 60 or 70 in the first hour of the morning & declare (leaving us 360-370 to chase) and Pakistan lose a couple of wickets before lunch, the match could let's just say get interesting. And with our last three contributing next to nil with the bat, it's all down to the top 7 to try and salvage a draw. *

I can’t claim that I know it all when it comes to Hindi (for that matter even English), but as per Wikipedia - the words in my signature appear to be spelt correctly : http://tinyurl.com/yvd3zj

Re: 2nd Test: India v Pakistan at Kolkata - Nov 30-Dec 4, 2
I am afraid pakistan is still in danger of losing this one.
I jsut dont get why Younis was so confused between attack and defence this afternoon? I guess his natural instinct is to attack but he wanted to defend and in the end nothing happened.
Kudos to Misbah. We will not miss Inzi that much inshaAllah.

Well, my comment may very well be viewed as a biased comment or an attempt to even the score, but I have to say that I am really shocked to see Harbhajan in this test match. At least from a naked eye, he is chucking more than some of his “notable” peers.
And i am just shocked that no one in ICC is taking any notice of it. The ball on which he took shoaib’s wicket (doosra) was a clear indication. His ball to kamran akmal was another master blaster chucker. He was coming round the wicket with an aim to bowl an inswinger and it was almost impossible for him to do it without inducing jerk. I mean, you just need to go back and look at videos. Look at his arm when he releases the ball. That sudden jerk is so obvious and nothing is being done about it.
One reason he is chucking so blatantly in this test match is because he has come back to the team after a long time and he desperately needs some wickets to solidify his position. Plus he has a good record on Kolkata pitch (thanks to his unchecked chucking against aussies in 2001) and he wants to make sure that he gets enough wicket on this track. If he cannot take wickets on indian tracks how would you expect him to take wicket in aus...so sardar jee has been "performing" really blatantly....shame for cricket
Re: 2nd Test: India v Pakistan at Kolkata - Nov 30-Dec 4, 2
Bhajji chucks his doosra .I wonder what ICC is doing .All these chuckers making a mockery at this game .The reason is Murli and his arm .Moreover we are a bunch of biased people who always make racism alert whenever our ''darling '' gets caught .Became a routine of the game .What a shame to the game and to the true legends.

I’m not following this match so keenly but man oh man! am I glad that we’ve found a formidable replacement for Inzi in Misbah.
What a player! - in a sense, his 50 runs today mean just as much as his 100 yesterday because they helped Pak avoid the follow-on. Piece of erratic trivia… I didn’t know the guy was also quite well educated with an MBA and that it was his son’s birthday yesterday when he got his first test century :k:
Re: 2nd Test: India v Pakistan at Kolkata - Nov 30-Dec 4, 2
For those who think Bedi is singling out Murali -
“He [Harbhajan] is not any different,” Bedi told The Sun-Herald yesterday. "The ICC is turning a blind eye to both of them.
"A lot of people have questioned Harbhajan’s action and they are right to. He has the same problem as Murali. This is cricket’s greatest tragedy.
"Throwing is being allowed to happen in front of 30,000 and 40,000 people. Chucking is a bigger disgrace than match-fixing because it is done out in the open.
“Harbhajan is also surviving on the 15-degree allowance. They’re having a ball, these bowlers. And young bowlers on the subcontinent are coming through and they are copying the actions of Harbhajan and Muralitharan. These boys will be Test cricketers one day and the ICC is going to have a hell of a problem.”
Harbhajan will arrive in Australia later this month as the spearhead of a supreme Indian slow bowling attack that also includes Anil Kumble and Murali Kartik.
He has been spared much of the scathing criticism directed at Muralitharan because he is less successful, but 241 wickets from 58 Tests is still a formidable record.
His action is not as blatant as Muralitharan’s but it would struggle to be legal without the 15-degree law.
Re: 2nd Test: India v Pakistan at Kolkata - Nov 30-Dec 4, 2
i dont think india is going to be declaring anytime before a lead of 400
india cant win it from there but pakistan can certainly lose it
lets hope the two Y's can step up this time and not leave the dirty work for misbah again
Re: 2nd Test: India v Pakistan at Kolkata - Nov 30-Dec 4, 2
day 5 play underway...starts off with 4 over throws...very poor effort by yousuf at the boundry.
6.1 Shoaib Akhtar to Ganguly, 5 runs, taps it away towards point and they take off for a quick single, Yousuf makes a mess of things, backing-up and the overthrow goes over the ropes - 5 runs added to the total and that's a good start for india
