Re: 2nd Test: India v England at Nottingham - Jul 27-31, 2007
when did he look "a bit online" by the way....
I am actually not disappointed at Sree over last 18 months or so....he Aint no Morrison or Srinath but he is not as bad as people think of him, slightly young, immature...but give the guy little time...he is India's Only genuine hope of carrying the fast bowling attack!

Agreed. His attitude may tick some people off. But as a pacer, you need that attitude and fire.
Re: 2nd Test: India v England at Nottingham - Jul 27-31, 2007
^ Sreesanth's on-field persona is one that of a "rebel without a cause".
A bowler who "thinks" like Shoaib Akhtar and "bowls" like Ganguly.
Today, he was bowling all over the place and was basically a "pressure-release valve". But that did not stop him from "menacingly staring" at batsmen.
And talking of Ganguly's bowling - the Cricinfo commentator was right on the mark when he said that Cook can prepare himself a cup of tea during the time Gangu runs in to the wicket to bowl and the ball gets to the batsman.

Sirjee…aapne subah match nahi dekha mere khayal se…
“All-over-the-place” does not mean “he was taken for runs”.
This proves how misleading statistics can be.
If this was an ODI, Sreesanth would have bowled more than 15-20 wides today.
Don’t believe me…
see Cricinfo’s latest comment on Sreesanth…
Very well bowled by Sreesanth, who was all over the shop before tea. There’s the length: can he maintain it?
32.2Sreesanth to Collingwood, OUT, well bowled! Swinging into Collingwood who came tentatively forward, without conviction, and inside-edged it onto his stumps **PD Collingwood b Sreesanth 28 (44b 4x4 0x6) SR: 63.63 ** ----------------------------------------
Re: 2nd Test: India v England at Nottingham - Jul 27-31, 2007
And this :
19.3Sreesanth to Collingwood, no run, again down the leg side Sreesanth's losing it here. The ball's going all over the place and he appears to be fighting the demons within; clenching his fists and imploring with himself to bowl straight
Re: 2nd Test: India v England at Nottingham - Jul 27-31, 2007
And more from Cricinfo :
Sreesanth looks unbelievably tense
19.6 Sreesanth to Collingwood, no run, good end to a poor over, pitching this up to the right hander who digs it out And again the multi-named Sreesanth has a pop at the batsman - a little word in Collingwood's ear, and a savage stare. Best just get on with the game if you're bowling like that, I reckons.

Sir ji,
I was watching the whole game. You are only picking up commentry snippets on bad deliveries. He was bowled very and was very unlucky that few decisions went against him, one of them being plumb LBW of KP.
34.3Sreesanth to Bell, no run, a beauty! That is a cracker from Sreesanth. Outside off stump, it cut away from him and bounced prodigiously on Bell who tried to defend it off the back foot but missed. Missed it comfortably, truth be told
Re: 2nd Test: India v England at Nottingham - Jul 27-31, 2007
Hawk-Eye suggests that the ball was sneaking ... well, passing well over ... the stumps. That makes no difference, Ganguly has the wicket and that's all that matters.
35.5Ganguly to Cook, OUT, and Ganguly strikes, drifting one back into Cook who is caught half forward and Taufel answers a beseeching appeal for leg before with a nod and a finger *AN Cook lbw b Ganguly 43 (111b 6x4 0x6) SR: 38.73 *
one more wicket and we are into tail. Get them under 175.
Re: 2nd Test: India v England at Nottingham - Jul 27-31, 2007
I am watching the game too...I am not picking up bad deliveries. Look above, actually those were the good ones...I only quoted the comments from the Cricinfo commentator to prove my point.
Infact I quoted a comment from right after he took Collingwood's wicket.
Anyways, you are not going to be convinced either way...that's okay. Time will tell.
