Re: 2nd Test - England v South Africa , Leeds
Andrew 'freddie' Flintoff has been named in the starting line up & he will bat @ no' 7. I think Collingwood will be dropped for him. It will be great to seem him back.

Re: 2nd Test - England v South Africa , Leeds
not a good day at the office, but Headingley plays that way and the overcast conditions sure did help SA, if the hosts can pick up some early wickets tomorrow morning, should make for an interesting second innings for both teams, hoping the weather doesn't spoil it thou, forecast is for rain and plenty of it. sigh
Re: 2nd Test - England v South Africa , Leeds

Pattinson picked his maiden test wicket
South Africa trail by 45 runs
Second Day: Match delayed by bad light (17.3 overs still left in the day)
South Africa (314/4) seem to have taken a decisive lead and should win this test from here
Ashley Prince 129*, AB de Villiers 67*
Present lead 111 with 6 wickets remaining
South Africa (522) are in a commanding position on D3. England 203 and 32/1 trail by 287 runs with 12 overs remaining in the day.
I don't know what excuse Botham will come up with now. He recently accused the ECB of putting cash before cricket saying,
'London is all about filling corporate boxes and hospitality. How can it be right that three Tests out of seven every summer are played in London? Just because Lord’s and The Oval bring in big money, they are given preferential treatment.'
Botham even demanded scrapping Lords as a test venue until the pitch has been relaid (The last 6 test matches have been drawn there). He also felt that Old Trafford (Manchester) had the best wicket in the country.
Botham is right though. I have also been noticing for sometime that visiting teams have more of a chance against England at Lord's and The Oval than at venues such as Leeds, Trent Bridge (Nottingham) and Old Trafford. The two Ashes tests Australia lost in 2005 were played at Edgbaston (Birmingham) and Trent Bridge.

England: 203, 50/2 (24.0 Ovs)
Day 3: Stumps- England trail by 269 runs
Re: 2nd Test - England v South Africa , Leeds
Saffies on the way to securing the 2nd test match :)
Re: 2nd Test - England v South Africa , Leeds
SAffies trounce Pommies with 10 wicket victory, would've been sweeter had they won with an innings!
