That is not the end of the world if Pakistan lost a match...lol

A piece of philosophy…

Optimism is a faith which leads to success and pessimism blunts the tools you need to succeed. [Bruce Lee]

PS: At present…Pakistan cricket is in all sorts of troubles…but that should not mean we should take our eye away from the unfolding realities…we should try to make it better and win what we have on hands… :jhanda:

Re: 2nd T20I: Pakistan v South Africa at Abu Dhabi

2 changes are a must. ZH should be dropped because his batting is useless in this format of the game. Asad Shafiq is a pretty good keeper and I just cannot understand why they are not using his abilities as a keeper and batsman. Imran Farhat, the biggest disaster to ever hit the Pakistani cricket team continues to haunt us. He should be replaced by Fawad Alam.

Re: 2nd T20I: Pakistan v South Africa at Abu Dhabi

:( another T20

Re: 2nd T20I: Pakistan v South Africa at Abu Dhabi

i hate imran farhat, how many more chances PCS has to give it him, this fellow is not good enuff, he can’t play cutt shot, he can’t play pull shot, this guy is a hopeless case, should give a chance to some new talent.

and i agree Asad shafeeq shud be given a chance… but PCB ko yeah baat kon samjhe ga :hinna:

Re: 2nd T20I: Pakistan v South Africa at Abu Dhabi

No need to change the team for this T20. Play with the same team. Just better planning.

Re: 2nd T20I: Pakistan v South Africa at Abu Dhabi

can someone please tell Afridi thats this is 20/20 and not 5/5

Re: 2nd T20I: Pakistan v South Africa at Abu Dhabi

Re: 2nd T20I: Pakistan v South Africa at Abu Dhabi

HE CANNOT DELIVER AS A BATSMAN WHILE CAPTAINING - PERIOD. I AM CONVINCED.

Re: 2nd T20I: Pakistan v South Africa at Abu Dhabi

^^ thanks Homi..D

good read indeed...

Mohammad Ilyas was an opening batsman and googly bowler who played ten Tests for Pakistan in the 1960s, only showing glimpses of being of international quality. *He was called up for the tour of Australia and New Zealand in 1964-65 despite showing solid rather than spectacular domestic form, and **although a middle-order batsman, he was converted to an opener.* In the warm-up match against Queensland he made 46 and 115 and that was enough to win him his debut in the one-off Test against Australia. He made 6 and 3, but bounced back with a career-best 154 against South Australia. He retained his place for the three Tests in New Zealand, dropping into the middle order for the second and third with some success. Restored as opener for the return tour later that season, he made 56 in the first Test and then 126, his only Test hundred, as Pakistan won the third match, being stumped as he went for the winning hit - he hit four consecutive fours when in the nervous nineties. Pakistan had to wait two years before they played again and in that time Ilyas did little, but retained his place for the England tour. He struggled with the conditions as well as a foot injury and only played in the last Test where he failed. He played twice when England toured in 1968-69 making 42 runs in four innings. Early on his second tour to Australia he was struck in the face and he was also accused of indiscipline. Rather than fly home, he applied for Australian citizenship and ended the season playing grade cricket for Waverley in Sydney. He made his last appearance in Pakistan in the BCCP Trophy final in 1971-72 when he helped PIA to victory.

well well well.....most of the traits run in the family..even though it is the extended family...:D

Re: 2nd T20I: Pakistan v South Africa at Abu Dhabi

Toss: Pakistan choose to bat again. "We had a good, positive team meating, so hopefully we will have good results. The team is unchanged."

Re: 2nd T20I: Pakistan v South Africa at Abu Dhabi

^^ :smack:…seems like Misbah kee selection Chacha butt nay kee heay…
and Afridi will keep him in to show that it was a wrong decision going downhill…

Re: 2nd T20I: Pakistan v South Africa at Abu Dhabi

guys stay positive...good decision by afridi to bat...lets give them a tough target. Hopefully our batsmen will deliver today. Praying for pakistan's win right now, lol.
