Pakistan vs India was always on the cards...Aussie winning today would have been an Upset win...

So i am sure Pak team is preparing with India in mind any ways...

Re: 2nd Quarter-Final: India v Australia at Ahmedabad, Thurs March 24

One key difference between the Indian and Pakistani teams is that the latter don't handle pressure that well.
A World Cup semi-final match, and a match with India... two big psychological factors that would be playing on Pakistani players minds... that's my biggest worry - skills wise, we're well poised for a batting versus bowling showdown.

Re: 2nd Quarter-Final: India v Australia at Ahmedabad, Thurs March 24

Lucid

I think this time around pressure will be on indians. We start as underdogs and after a long time our players will not be woriied that they may be pelted with stones if they loose, however Indians will certainly have that in my mind.

If we have our moments in the game Indians will be more likely to crumble than us.

Re: 2nd Quarter-Final: India v Australia at Ahmedabad, Thurs March 24

Congratulations to Indian guppies....

Re: 2nd Quarter-Final: India v Australia at Ahmedabad, Thurs March 24

I wouldnt say that. Our players are in more pressure due to higher expectations and *****y media.
Plus the thought of losing to pak in india is worse than losing to pak in pakistan.

I hope mohali will be nice to both the teams and we wont see a lopsided match.

Re: 2nd Quarter-Final: India v Australia at Ahmedabad, Thurs March 24

Match against Pak in India with 1.2 Bn people expecting you to beat Pak convincingly - if that isn't pressure I don't know what is :)

Re: 2nd Quarter-Final: India v Australia at Ahmedabad, Thurs March 24

From Cricinfo commentary:

42.5
Watson to Yuvraj Singh, FOUR, you have to feel for Lee. He's made a monumental effort at fine leg, but it is still four. Short ball on leg stump, Yuvraj gets inside the line and plays down on it, the pull hurries down to fine leg. Lee runs a mile to his left and then dives full length. He gets a hand on the ball, but the ball bounces up and hits him in the eye. The man doesn't even flinch. He watches in agony as the ball rolls away from him, and inevitably to the boundary. Lee is up, he has blood gushing out of a cut to the right of his right eye. What a player. He's away for some repair work now.
