Re: 2nd Quarter-Final: India v Australia at Ahmedabad, Thurs March 24
cricinfo:
A masterclass from Ricky Ponting, his 30th one-day hundred, allowed Australia to recover from a wobbly 150 for 4 to post 260 on a pitch where the ball is taking sharp turn and stopping on the batsmen. Not for the first time this World Cup, Yuvraj Singh was India's best bowler. There has not been much movement for the seamers. It will be interesting to see if the Australian fast bowlers get some under lights.

Well with that observation, Lee and Johnson's fast pace will actually hit the bat at the right bounce and should be better for bowling...Australia doesn't have the slow bowling options needs to contain batting...
Unless India implode or Aussies pull out some new bunnies from their hats, it should be a chase-able score..
Re: 2nd Quarter-Final: India v Australia at Ahmedabad, Thurs March 24
chasing 260 is not easy ...particularly given the recent batting debacles that India has shown capable of. Will they have the maturity to play aa steady utility innings which will certainly win the game or will they gamble on a swashbuckling blitzkreig that could go either way?
Ponting proved today that a great player is made of not just the occasional 6's and fours but by a scrappy compilation of dots, ones and twos. That's exactly what Indians need to remember
Re: 2nd Quarter-Final: India v Australia at Ahmedabad, Thurs March 24
India did well to restrict Aussies to 260. We bowled well, and fielded extremely well. 261 is chaseable if we can keep the wickets and bat full 50 overs.

I think it w'd be good for world cricket if Aussies are dumped out of the world cup today. I find their arrogance and sore loser attitude just too much to bear.
