Shoaib would surely like to be in the team by the next ODI on his home ground.
Umer Gul I guess has been out of the team for too long, and he did bowl well apart from the last over he bowled, but he should have been given another chance. Afterall his replacement didn't do any better either. So few of many wrong decisions taken during this match..

The only change I see in the team is the return of Akhtar for Gul. Also, can we please have an all rounder for super sub? Arafat is the perfect man for the job.

How about another wish, Afridi for opener. These wickets are flatter than even the test match ones, and the bowling is hardly threatening. Imagine power plays with Afridi on the crease, doesn't need to worry about lofting the ball at all. Remember we beat India in India by opening with Afridi.

and as far as supersub goes…where the hell is azhar mahmood…last i remember…he was goin great guns in the english county circuit…he wud be amazin as supersub i guess…instead of razzaq for example…or if were 80-4 or sumin…insted of one of the bowlers…cuz azhars also a gud bowler…and a gud bat …
yasir…isnt he primarily another bowler???an allrounder…we can birng in as supersub even if we lose the toss…for example…if we lose it…n hav to bowl…sub azhar (or ne1 else) on for a bowler like asif when we bat…and if lose the toss n bat…take off fer example salman butt off after weve batted…
i know azhar aint in the sqaud bangs head into wall
o well…
lets hope we make it 2-0 a pindi

Super sub: Yasir Arafat
I agree that Gul came from a long absence and should be given more chances. Instead of Arshan Khan, we should have another pacer as sub, in Yasir we will get an allrounder. Plus I believe Malik, Farhat, Butt and YK can’t do worse than Arshad Khan, so why bother with him, if we have to get hit in his overs, let the non-regulars bowl those overs and save super-sub slot for someone usefull.
Scenario 1
If Pak won the toss and elected to bat first we can go in with the team above and bring Yasir in the second innings.
Scenario 2a
If we batted second then according to the Indian scorecard (RR & wickets) in first 15/20 overs, we can decide whether to bring yasir in for bowling or we would need M. Yusuf in the second innings. I know its hard to sit our best batsman out, but we won’t be able to ask YK to sit out for obvious reasons (MoYo can play better ODI innings than YK IMO) it all depends on the circumtances.
Scenario 2b
Also if Gul is playing instead of Shoaib and got hit in first few overs than we will replace him with Yasir.

Akhtar will probably return for Gul in this ODI. I think Akhtar should keep playing till we win the series. After that we can start experimenting.
Our supersub strategy continues to be mind boggling. Granted Arshad had a good outing with a couple of games against England but lets not forget that those were spinning tracks and the English are clueless against spin. This time around the conditions are different and the opposition is different. We have to adapt. Something which Inzi and Woolmer aren't too good at. Arafat swings the ball at fair pace, something which would always trouble the Indians. Also, being an all rounder we can utilize him regardless of the toss. It's a no brainer!
Also, I still think we are wasting the power plays. Neither Akmal or Butt are sloggers by any means, both play good orthodox shots. We must have Afridi or Razzaq to cash in on those overs. Indians showed us exactly how devastating it can be. Also, with such a deep batting line up, we can afford to lose the odd wicket in search of quick runs.
All those saying Afridi is better off down the order, well to be honest he isn't exactly at his best in pressure situations chasing targets. With his power and timing, it's easy for him to loft the ball over the in field during the power plays and boundaries are there for the taking.

Gul was hardly given a chance. If a judgement was to be made on the first 3 overs, then Rana, Razzaq, Arshad shouldn't play either. I, for one, think that Gul bowled pretty well... it was only his 3rd over where he conceded 20+ runs, but at that stage Pathan was smashing everyone all over the ground.
This strategy of giving someone a chance for one match and discarding him is getting old pretty fast. According to Aaquib Javed, the former coach of the PCB Academy, the selectors had discarded Mohammad Asif as "not international caliber" after Asif's debut in December 2004 in Australia. Look at where Asif is now. Let's not be quick in passing judgements based on one performance.
