Head to head: Pak-Bang 26-1 in 27 ODIs. The only loss was in World Cup 1999 group game
It seems highly unlikey that Bangladesh w’d pose a serious challenge to Pakistan in the ongoing series considering their pathetic displays with the bat in the only T20I and 1st ODI
The Q then arises, **
Why are n’t seniors rested and new players tried against minnows?**
Misbah and Younis Khan are in the twilight of their careers, players like Afridi, Ajmal, Hafeez and Razzaq (injured) are in their 30’s and these are the core players of the team!!
This series was the ideal time to give youngsters like Asad, Umar Amin, Ahmed Shehzad, Yasir Shah and Hammad more international exposure ahead of our much tougher assignments against England in UAE next month … even try new fast bowlers like Sadaf Hussain and Khalil
Re: 2nd ODI - Pakistan vs Bangladesh, Sat Dec 3, Mirpur
Watching Younis struggle is pain and I am a fan of the guy in test matches.....These bowlers on these wickets, people like sharjeel, Awais, Amin or even Ahmed shahzad would have murdered them.
I am off for the night...wouldnt be surprised if Younis does end up with 50+ score and still gets picked up to Play ODI's against Eng.
