I put Malik at 06 since unfortunately they use one fixed line up. A captain like imran will shuffle the line up according to the match needs. In my view, if Pakistani to 3 clicks then they should promote Afridi up the order, if top three fail like first ODI then Malik should be promoted ahead of Yousaf. At the same time, Pakistan needs to give more batting opportunities to recognized batsmen like Misbah. Therefore, It will be worth trying to send Malik or Younis to open along with Imran Nazir, which will give more batting opportunity to most of the batsmen.

For example:

For ODI, Sami will be my choice even ahead of Gul. Do not know what selectors are doing.

Well in Pakistan though they do not say it openly but qouta system is still very dominant. When Bari was chief selector, he used to find a way to give maximum possible representation to Karachi and for that reason he will select Sami and some way drag in Asim Kamal, but now PAID selectors rather try to please DNA than any region.

DNA love Butts so they keep Salman in for one or other excuse. DNA hat beard so they try to find some way to ignore Asim Kamal, Rafatullah, Yasir Hameed etc.
