You'd think a team taking only four specialist bowlers in a game would be stacked with very good batsman. All we have done is play four average bowlers and put more pressure on our struggling batting line up.

NZ in strong position with 369. well deserved 102 [off 70 balls] by Ross Taylor. Williamson's 112 was also a great century.

Bhatti was a big flop...0 for 93 runs. Irfan 2 for 57...very unimpressive rather dismal bowling by ALL except Irfan which wasn't too bad.

Someone please help me understand, was it a batting power play throughout 50 overs? The field setting that Misbah had was like so many players up by the circle rather than in deep while the bowlers were getting slaughtered.
Same goes for bowling changes as well. When Bhatti was a disaster, there was no way captain should hv kept him for last over. Its just aweful :pullhair:

Someone please tell Pakistani players that a 4 is nearly as good as a 6 and involves a much smaller risk compared to a 6. Please go for 4's as we still have over 20 overs left. A couple of 4s every over at least for the next 5 overs without losing any wicket would be great.

RRR 12 RPO...match lost already by Pakistan...what a dismal performance by 'not so green' shirts.

For this match to win, Pakistan needed to make 70 runs per 10 overs in first 40 overs losing at most 4 wickets. Than 90 runs in last 10 overs with 6 wickets to play. Pakistan team could have done that with singles, doubles and occasional fours. No need for big hitting.

But, it is unfortunate that Parchi players were not only incompetents but uneducated and statistically weak, and that is why Pakistan started too slow, never going above 5.5 runs per over throughout the match. Probably they did not knew that they needed to make over 7 runs per over.
