2nd CARCAMANES CRICKET FESTIVAL

The 1st Carcamanes Cricket Festival has come and gone in memorable and successful fashion.

In March 2004, eight teams, including visitors from Australia, New Zealand, England, Namibia, the United States and Argentina, enjoyed a fantastic week of cricket, sight-seeing and an unforgettable experience in the heart of South America.

Now we have great pleasure to invite you, along with your team/club and/or a select group of “experienced” cricket players, to visit Argentina and take part in the 2nd Carcamanes Cricket Festival for cricketers over-40, in the magical city of Buenos Aires!!!

The Festival will take place from Saturday 5th to Saturday 12th March 2005, with the only necessary qualification that all players should be at least 40 years young!

This event will be an unforgettable and wonderful experience, combining the fun and friendship of cricket with the exhilarating atmosphere of Buenos Aires, Argentina and South America.

Each team will play a minimum of three matches, plus have plenty of time for other activities, including sight-seeing and shopping.

Teams from New Zealand, South Africa, Botswana, USA, Australia, Trinidad y Tobago, Pakistan and Canada

are keen to visit Argentina


The cost per person is US$ 770-00, which includes the following:

*Seven nights bed and breakfast accommodation at 4-star city centre hotel

(sharing twin/double room)

*All transport including aiport transfers, matches, official excursions and functions

*Match Day lunches

*Festival welcome cocktail party

*Festival dinner, including tango show

*Tigre delta tour with lunch

*City tour

*Tournament souvenirs


The participation fee per team is US$ 300-00, which is payable in advance by 30 July 2004.

The cost per person of US$ 770-00 does not include: (1) Return airfares to and from your original point of departure, (2) Personal and Medical Insurance, (3) Relevant gratuities, (4) Selected lunches and dinners, (5) Team Participation Fee and (6) Laundry.

In my league, a 58 year old plays cricket. He opens the innings, bowls leg break and throws from the deep that end right on top of the bails. It's how you keep your figure.

you should see the 40, 50 60ish Jamaicans here, these guys have greater strength and stamina than our 20-30 year olds!! no exageration
