I really need your help in deciding on some color schemes/decoration ideas for a 25th wedding anniversary party of my inlaws’s friends. The aunty asked me to help her out with decorating the party as all she has found so far is silver/grey stuff in the market. Her dress is red with lime green and the party is outdoors so she thinks grey would be a bit dull. The venue is her backyard with a beautiful lake in the front and she’s expecting about 40-50 people. It will be a night time event.
What do you guys think the colors should be? What can we do besides balloons, ribbons and the usual stuff?

Mark a pathway on either end with loads and loads of candles, like a runway.
Silver is traditionally the colour for 25th, however, she should go with what she likes.
what bout getting some tall vases, like martini style maybe, fill them with coloured water - matching the dress maybe - and contrast it with a colour of floating candles and flowers at the top? if the wedding is in the garden, maybe get some poles placed in the grass, spaced apart and drape some material across them, do I make sense?
^ with the tall vases with floating candles, you can have matching table mirrors with similar tealights and flowers on the mirror to enhance the look, as tall vases can be expensive.
how big is the lake? maybe get some large floating candles to put on the lake, that will look amazing at night!

We were thinking of doing the floating candles, since her dress has a touch of gold/silver in it, we can do the candles in those colors. There can also be rose petals in the red color on tables. Also, lost and lots of balloons in colors like lime green and silver/gold can be scattered around the backyard. I have to ask her how many tables she’s doing and if she wants to do fancy centerpieces. Candles in the lake is a great idea!! 
shay u can also buy large artificial flowers which u can also put on the lake, which will float, try ur local garden centres. tall vases can be expensive so maybe alternate them with table mirrors (which are cheap to buy) on the others but using the same floating candles and flowers so it all gels well.

wht abt an exotic Balinese theme.......using exotic plants--especially orchids! lime and red are such vibrant colors they will work so well if incorporated into this theme.....
u can decorate with colorful umbrella's, the flame torches your president suggested....
hmmm can even get fruit arrangements....or have lots of strawberries and kiwis....and juices in red (pomegranate or strawberry) and green (pakola hehehehhehehe)......:):)

maybe have fake flower (or real flower depending on the budget) clips---so that girls can put them on their hair--would look sooooooo cute!
