The million dollar question about Former President Pervez Musharraf ‘s return to Pakistan had been answered on Friday when addressing a press conference in Dubai, the former President said he was returning to Pakistan on March 23rd 2012.
A defiant Musharraf added that he plans to land in Lahore, the home town of the PML-N.
He said he had decided to return for the upcoming general elections in 2013 – and could come earlier, if need be.
Musharraf said he was ready to face any political cases against him.
In an earlier report, Musharraf had linked his return to Pakistan to the level of support his political party, the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), would be able to muster.
Addressing a rally of party workers in April, Musharraf said that in the first stage, the party would create liaison committees at the district and provincial level.
In the second stage, the party would decide to conduct a “show of strength” across the country. If the first two stages are successful, then the former president would make the decision to return to Pakistan.
In the third phase, Musharraf said he would lead the party in a campaign for the 2013 general elections. He claimed that the party would be able to win an absolute majority in the National Assembly, though he hinted that the party was open to alliances with other “like-minded” political parties.

Seriously, this politician lot has absolutely NO shame. I'll explain, it's called the sirjee-syndrome.
Basically, regardless of how you come to power, how badly you screw up, all you need to sustain your political career after you have been booted out of power is a suitable number of lackeys and toadies around you to keep massaging you ego
that you truly are the savior of the masses. Nawaz did it. BB did it. Now Musharraf is doing it.
The hilarious part is that they delude themselves into believing that tey truly are that messiah.
I'll give Imran a chance as he is untested and has so far made no compromises to get to that coveted kursi, he is a force in North/Cent Punjab and KP, but Mush can hope at best to do well in Karachi, though I have to say, relative to all the hyenas you have leading various political parties in power, he has a better track record. I hope he does well in his core constituency and kicks MQM out of Karachi.

well mush is dominate in Karachi, southern punjab, now as the tide is turning he has taken away ganjas forces in central punjab. next goverment has to be an alliance as no party can muster up a majority, and at most musharraf and imran khan will lead the elections with around 80 seats each.
