23 US groups forge coalition against India nuclear deal Wednesday, January 16, 2008
WASHINGTON: Twenty-three US groups launched an effort Tuesday to stop a US deal aimed at providing India with civilian nuclear fuel and technology, saying it would instead beef up New Delhi’s atomic weapons capability.
The Campaign for Responsibility in Nuclear Trade said the US-India civilian nuclear agreement would also “dangerously weaken” nonproliferation efforts, embolden Iran and North Korea to pursue nuclear weapons and exacerbate a nuclear arms race in Asia.
US President George W. Bush and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh reached an agreement more than two years ago in which Washington would provide India with nuclear fuel and technology even though the nuclear-armed Asian nation has not signed the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
Under the agreement India had to place selected atomic facilities under international safeguards. It also has to get a green light from the Nuclear Suppliers’ Group, a global regulator of nuclear commerce.
It seems to be going all wrong for Hindustan in it’s search for wild nuclear buiscuits from America! I’m glad Islamic Republic of Pakistan didn’t persist in this matter with the Americans.

i dont know what kick you get from posting meaning less threads. rest assured that India will get its nuclear technology and fuel on schedule. USA or No USA.
there are plenty of sellers and india got cash to get it. home grown technology is not too far too..

Is that why more than half of Hindustan's nuclear reactors are shut due to lack of fuel for them? You have plenty of Thorium. I don't why Hindustan keeps telling the world it has plenty of it when they won't utilise it in their country!
If the French can offer the nuclear plants and everything with it to even the Arabs then I don't know why Hindustan's money doesn't attract their attention!

btw thorium needs lot of processing before it can be used. at the moment it is not feasible.
The world deals in US Dollars mostly... hindustani dollar or french dollar , all are the same..
