228 killed in Karachi

Re: 228 killed in Karachi

Karachi is lucky that the storm moved to balochistan.

Re: 228 killed in Karachi

Like I said, no idea whats behind this controversy...
But it's sad even such tragedies keep ppl divided and attention diverted over controversies and older accounts etc

Re: 228 killed in Karachi

these guys are running scared, thus the paranoia. Watching these ministers make stupid excuses while hundreds have died and more left homeless makes u wonder who the hell gave them these jobs. Situation is pathetic, ppl are dying and many have no future while Sindh govt is blaming the meterological dept or edhi.

Re: 228 killed in Karachi

Not trying to be offtopic, but can anyone give me some detail on CM Arbab Rahim. Thanks.

Re: 228 killed in Karachi

MwP,
You mean what he's upto right now under the crisis (weather as well as political) or who he is; background and so on?

Re: 228 killed in Karachi

Just a clarification: I saw that interview of "EDHI's ASSISTANT" on GEO and he was saying that he is not "sure" how many deaths were due to rain. He said 220 bodies were brought into the cold storage and that include rain + other bodies (natural, murder etc). He said "his guess is that bodies related to rain death are b/w 170-190) and pathetic GEO was reporting that "EDHI HOME k mutabiq barish sai marney waloon kee taadad 220 ho gaee hai" ..... *once again GEO was trying to increase their viewer ship and rating by using dead bodies ! pathetic ! *

Having said that, death bhaley eik hee keyun na ho, afsos tu hota hai! :(

Re: 228 killed in Karachi

Background and so on.

Re: 228 killed in Karachi

^I'm not much aware, but I do know that he comes from a feudal background, belongs t interior Sindh/Thar. His ancestors were politicians and Khan Bahadurs/Nawab etc I think. He's an MD from one of Karachi's medical colleges.

Re: 228 killed in Karachi

sad, but it has exposed readiness of emergency services in the largest city of Pakistan. shame for administrators and government.

Re: 228 killed in Karachi

And thanks to Mirani Dam, more than 40 villages in Balochistan have gone under water. This is ithe "development" that Pakistan has given to Balochistan.
