Around 7 months (211 days, approximately 30 weeks) of holidays in private schools! unbelievable. In addition to these holidays, private schools celebrate various events such as sports day, picnic, music day etc. so no one know the actual number of holidays observed at private schools. No matter how many days schools remain open, parents are asked to pay not only the full year school fees but also they are forced to pay pay the transportation charges.

i don't remember who said this but someone said that "if you want to destroy a nation then take away their Education". I can imagine what Education these private schools may provide when they observe those many holidays.

What is school's fault if some political parties call a strike? Schools are like any other business, should companies/govt cut down salaries of people for "holidays", 'strike-days'? How are schools supposed to operate?
What are "transporters" whose only job is to transport kids to-from school supposed to do during summer vacations? Be reasonable here.
Instead of shouting at school we should be shouting at political parties who call strike and force closure of schools/businesses but on that front everyone is bheegi-billi.

These strikes are in no way peaceful at all, nor do they accomplish anything. Just more of the typical desi behavior of "If I bully enough, I'll get my way".
