hvae u guys started getting your jahez outfits made? how many u getting done? and if your getting married in summer pakistan what type of outfits will u be getting done considering the heat and everything???

i just bought one dress from winter sales at aroshi. im getting married in the fall but for the summer i'd get lawn when it hits the shelves and chiffon if you can bear it in this heat.
I'm focusing on a getting a few heavy formals and saris made because i'm most comfortable in natural, breathable fabrics.

I havent started mine..and Im not really any good at colour combinations or styles/designing...soo Ive been looking in Asian Bridal magazines...and starting to compile a list of what style suits and colour combinations to have...maybe that could be a starting point...??

Yes, jahez is from the girl's side, and bari is from the boys. Also if you're not super picky you'll find plently of stuff in shops in pakistan. just choose what you like and they'll make it for you!

same thats what im concerned about im sure initially we will have to dress up but how are u meant to be in pakistans july heat?!!!!!

I suppose what you can do..is get some heavy formal suits to wear in the evening or you can get cotton suits with some really nice embrodery to wear around the house during the day or some chiffon....just an idea..never been to pk in the summer...

piyari i dont want to make too many as i will be staying in pak after the wedding for a few months and i have a mad love for clothes so wanted to keep it to a limited amount so i wont feel guilty buying more while im out there!

i want to share my experience wth u ppl hope it helps u...... i was coming 2 dubai soon after wedding so i got only 7 formal clothes still i could wear only 4 in pakistan n rest 3 suits are still untouched after 1 year of wedding because fashion keeps on changing..... this is about my formal dresses n besides this i got almost 20 casual dresses a lot of them are still untouched n now i have started donating them so its good u make minimum number of dresses
as far as material is concerned i think shifon is best for all seasons in formal dressing.....

I had a lots of formal clothes...all stitched.....18 formal and 5 normal suits in my baree....about 15 formal and 10 normal suits in my jahaiz.....The days after shaadi I wore all the formal clothes I have....So I don't have an regrets for having so many formal suits....BTW I choose all the clothes of my baree and jahez.....Before my shaadi I never wore fancy clothes...I was allergic for them...hahaha...
Clothes that I love the most are from Bareeze....you can't have enough of them!!

you were really lucky that u got the chance to wear them.... i had 2 leave the country just after 5 days of my wedding n since i hve to continue my studies in dubai so cnt wore those kind of dresses in university n hot climate of dubai just dont allow u 2 wear those kind of dresses
but i think its better to make less clothes as u can get clothes after wedding as well according to latest style n fashion n season

Actually Im not planning to make too many clothes for my jahez...bcos the thing is that actually I will be moving to PK soo...what my mum has thought that make minimun 10 suits and she will give the money to buy the rest.....bcos half the wedding will be here and then maybe after a 1-2 weeks we will go to PK to do walima..so theres no point of me buying a whole load of clothes from pk getting them made and then bringing them to the UK and then back to PK..and fashion is always changing there so ill just get them made after the wedding.. we thought that is best thing to do..?

hey girlie i have questions...
well i will be there for two weeks after the wedding. I want semi formal outfits rather thn heavy stuff. so once i return to the US i can use them more often. I believe my MIL is giving me 21 outfits (i have told her i want mostly semi formal).
so how many outfits shld i get???? (jahez)
^agian i have been thinking abt the same thing. thats another reason i dont want really heavy stuff.
