Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
^They are both commentators these days.
Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
what do you guys think about last nights game Sunday Night Football
DALLAS VS CAROLINA please give it up for ROMO lets see how he plays next week.
Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
That was do or die for Dallas ... it gives Dallas a new life. Romo was impressive to say the least ... much better than Bledsoe; Bill made the right call... the guy makes stupid mistakes on National TV yr after yr and never learns from 'em ... I am happy for Parcells & Co., they redeemed themselves after an embarrassing loss to the Giants a week ago.
Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
Some good games yesterday -- I didn't get to see many because the Eagles took up so much time.
Colts/Broncos was entertaining, the big difference in this game was the Jake Plummer fumble inside his own 20. At the time the Broncos were up (I believe) 14-13 and that allowed the Colts to take the 20-14 lead. If you guys didn't know already.. I'm a huge Reggie Wayne fan, and he simply abused, check that what he did to Darrent Williams (no relation) could be called drawn and quartered. Anytime Peyton wanted too, he just went in his direction and it was a completion.
Of course to set that up the Broncos do something that drives me crazy, and that is only send a four man rush at Peyton Manning. Stop, please. In the fourth quarter I noticed that they sent one blitz besides that it was all zones. You can't let him set up and throw, you have to bring pressure get his feet moving, force him to throw on the run. When you do that he is prone to make mistakes.
Joseph Addai is starting to win me over, he's not as similar to Edge as they were saying but he packs a wallop no player sends more players backwards after contact than he does. He's what Brandon Jacobs would be if he knew how to lower his shoulder more often.
On another note.. is it just me or does Chad Johnson go out of just about every game that he makes some kind of prediction? This is going back to his prediction that the Bengals would beat the then undefeated Kansas City Chiefs a few years back. It ended up being Peter Warrick who abused the Chiefs.
Talking about the Chiefs how about that touchdown dive by Larry Johnson? From three yards out? Fantasy freaks are happy, but I'm sure Herm Edwards is as well this guy is the real deal, no one year sensation.
Denny Green is telling the people up at ESPN to get his seat ready, Brian Kenney he's ready to work with you and Eric Allen. I called this week's ago, and I'm sticking with it. That ninja isn't a good coach.
I'll give the Cowboys credit, Tony Romo looked very good out there. Avoided the rush, made some bad throws but made a lot of good ones, the Cowboys looked like a completely different team.
Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
These are my favorites for this year...
Patriots, Bears, Colts, Broncos, Falcons...
Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
how about them patriots!!!! oh yeah
Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
Philly is doing pretty good and even though Bears are too, I don't think they are Super Bowl material yet. Colts might get to the division finals but that's about it. And even though I wish Broncos the super bowl, I don't think they are more than playoff material this year.
Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
AJ, Philly was never good coming into the season. I knew they were bad but I didn't know this team can't freaking tackle. It is atrocious, there's going to need to be a roster overhaul in the offseason. And now, since McNabb is done for the season with torn ACL, so are Eagles.
Tomlinson has been unbelieveably dominant. 4 TDs in two consecutive game. The only reason I'd place him below players like Sanders and Brown is that his yards per carry are not where theirs were, around 5.0 YPC.
That said, he's been extremely productive while carrying a huge load and his ability to catch passes out of the backfield is very impressive. He's going to shatter the touchdown record. He's simply unreal.
Chargers need to work on defending screen passes. They're attacking and fast, but Denver was able to exploit that speed several times for big gains. They need to be more disciplined in their schemes. Once they do that, they sure gonna make some noise in the playoffs.
Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
Well Well Well, an undefeated Knocked off wow, guys them BOYS are back in town, yes my freinds they are back the America's team is back once again after a long lay off how bout them boys well played yesterday COWBOYS, give it up for them COWBOYS guys????
Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
yeah man Da Boys had the best game of the Parcell's era, they did to Colts what Chargers did to them last year.
Why is McNabb so injury prone, third time in five years he got some sort ACL/MCL/Knee injury. How long can he sustain these types of injnuries before calling it quits?
LT is inhuman. But i hope SD's doesnt choke when it comes to playoff time.
Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
McNabb still remains Plan A in Philly unless Eagles decided to choose QB in the 1st round of the draft which is unlikely.
Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
Woot
Eagles are back in the playoff! T.O. first gets beat by Donovan and then Jeff. :D

Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
Another NFL regular season has come to an end leaving a bitter taste in my mouth. You see I have been a Titans/oilers fan since 1992. Despite an 0-5 start, Titans managed to make themselves relevant in the post season discussions. Of course, this was all made possible by the phenomenon known as Mr. Invincible, Vincent Paul Young Jr. a.k.a Vince Young or VY. Although his performance in the last game against the Patriots was less than spectacular, Titans did not lose the game because of it. They lost the game becuase they could not stop the patriots offense when it mattered the most. Before I go into a rant against the patriots and their yoda clad coach, I should admit that I like Tom Brady. He is a master of his trade and I rank him behind Joe Montana as the greatest QBs who played the game. However, overall Patriots (mostly due to their coach) are not well liked in the NFL or general public. I thought it was ironic that Mr. Dirty Player himself (Rodney Harrison) called out Titans for employing dirty tricks against him. Hello, Mr. Harrison, did you check with any of your fellow NFL players lately?. A recent SI poll among the active NFL players rated you the dirtiest player by a wide margin. If memory serves me right, there were no titans mentioned in that poll. So shut up and move on. You and your coach has no class and never will. Yoda, left jets on the altar and bolted to New England in a shameful manner, that no contact with a reciever after 5 yards was specifically put in after you (Harrison) and others from your team were hanging onto the colts reciever in the AFC championship game like you were hugging your wives. Your coach repeatedly blocks all information regarding injuries to his players (he has been fined several times by the NFL for not sharing the information). He showed his real character when he allowed Testaverde to throw for a touchdown pass in the fading moments of the game. Yes, Harrison you and your coach are classles and always will be. May you get a licking in the first round by the Jets...speaking of jets, here is another example of Yoda's shameful behavior, he was so upset over Mangini leaving the pats that he refuses to acknowledge Mangini by the name and refers to him as "the other coach or other team's coach). What a classless individual you are, indeed.
Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
Kaleem bhai, you are right about Vincent Young. I'm a fan of him since his college days. Never liked Longhorns but love to see him play. Vince's performance on road at Buckeyes last year was a proof of it that he's a phenomenal - and BCS championship just cemented that.
By far, he had the best rookie year in the NFL. Titans have a bright future with him and Pacman Jones. Both of them kind of remind me when Donovan and Brian Dawkins were young and respectively leaders on offense and defense for Eagles.
I thought Bill was playing mind tricks with Eric Mangini since he knew that they might end up playing each other in the playoffs. And no one knows better about Patriots' offense than Mangini himself. Should be a great chess match.
Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
The Boys lost a heartbreaker. Romo The homo, couoldnt hold the ball for the kicker and instead ran for the endzone and was held back feets from the goal line. He will prolly rememmeber this for the remainder of his career. What coould have been.
