Re: 2005-06 Football

Pats over Jaguars
Giants over Panthers
Bengals over Steelers
(this is the game that im looking forward to see)

Re: 2005-06 Football

Talha bhai, I would like to introduce you to Sean Taylor Please pay special attention to the “And I make a young girl squeal” part :cb:

Re: 2005-06 Football

So Redkins prevail and Seahawks start preparing for the mighty defense. Consequently Bears will get the winner of Panthers v. Giants @ HOME :dhimpak:

These playoffs r gonna be great. The first game was fun to watch even without big scores. Gibbs- the oldest coach came threw against Gruden- the youngest one in the league. Gibbs stayed conservative and left it to his defense to score a victory, which paid off big … Its unbelievable to see them winning with only gaining 25 passing yards for the entire game.. whew… I hope Seahawks square 'em off so that the Bears don’t have to play them.

Re: 2005-06 Football

A lot of extra effort from the Patriots.

First, Corey Dillon digs in for a few extra yards after being hit; taking on four guys.

Later, Ben Watson breaks two tackles en route to a long touchdown reception. How he managed to catch it was good; yet Watson made a tremendous play in evading the tacklers for a touchdown as the Patriots blocked well down field. The Jaguars couldn’t handle the pressure of a playoff game. They look rattled

Tampa Bay played well but it wasn’t in the cards for them to win this game (see dropped pass). But I wanna say that Chris Simms is one hell of a talent…kid has grit. Just gotta keep working hard and learn the game.

Spitting on face is disgraceful. :nook: He could be suspended for next playoff game.

Re: 2005-06 Football

I kinda feel bad for the Bangals. I was secretly hooting for them. And what happened to the Giants??? tsk tsk tsk

Re: 2005-06 Football

Torn ACL and MCL on his first pass in playoffs. Its kinda sad. Bengals didnt stand a chance w/o Carson Palmer. Hopefully he will recover fully from it and be back in his form for another run next year.

Re: 2005-06 Football

How the mighty have fallen.

Colts choke again for yet upteenth time in the playoffs after such a hyped season. The only games that matter are the ones you win in the playoffs.
Steelers 21 Colts 18.

And yesterday, Broncos 27 Pats 13. No more 3-peat for New England, no more talk of dynasty. And the tidbit about no team every winning 3 superbowls in a row in the history of NFL, stands in tact.

Re: 2005-06 Football

That Panthers team is looking good so far. If they are able to get an early lead, Bears (with their lack of offense) wont be able to recover.

Re: 2005-06 Football

unexpected results in all the games this week :(

Colts man.... gotta feel for them... they do so well all year and then choke when it matters...

Bears - disappointment once again; but they atleast gave a fight. Defense couldn't deliver in the most crucial game of the season.

NE - too many mistakes. Broncos deserved to win. Brady said it right "Broncos are the team who capitalizes on others' mistakes" They did exactly that... scoring almost all points on turnovers

The two best plays this week
1. NE's tightend running all the way after a brady intereption to bump Lynch out of bounds 1 yard shy of the end zone
2. Play by Big Ben to save the day for Steelers and Bettis.

Re: 2005-06 Football

^ You mean Champ Bailey’s 100 yards interception?

Re: 2005-06 Football

'yah , wohi wohi

Re: 2005-06 Football

We Broncos killed one dynasty and Stealers choked the other wannabe and now we have the AFC championship to ourselves. I don’t really care who wins because we both are underdogs but I like Broncos colors better. :D

It seems like Seattle will be everyone’s bet to win the super bowl but I hope too much rain will drain their dreams and panthers tear them apart.

Re: 2005-06 Football

Suddenly AJ becomes a Broncos fan when they are in AFC championship. I sense a coughbandwagoncough fan :)

PS: I guess we wont be seeing Sheraz CT back in this thread

Re: 2005-06 Football

Abio, I am not a fanatic fan of any sports and thus can change wagons. But Broncos are a home team; I live in their back yard, so naturally they are my team but if they lose I won’t be sleepless. :-P

Re: 2005-06 Football

^ yep i found it amusing how you used the "we broncos", and after they lose to Steelers in AFC championship, the "we" will disappear and you'll just use "broncos", if at all :)

Re: 2005-06 Football

Makes you wonder if Peyton Manning will be getting the criticism that Donovan McNabb has received.

What’s terrible for the Colts as a franchise is that they’re going to have to lose a bunch of players from this roster in the offseason. They aren’t able to keep everyone. It hurts when a lot of their free agents had big seasons, so look for that defense to lose some key players (i.e. Cato June, possible Robert Mathis).

Reggie Wayne is probably gone as well, and what happens with Edgerrin James? If the press doesn’t bring up the heat on Peyton Manning now, they never will. Talking about the Manning family, their Dad never made the playoffs.. Eli was hideous last week, Peyton chokes this week, and this is considered the NFL’s royalty.

I know some will think it’s unfair, but I think if McNabb gets the criticism some has to go to the “golden child”.

Re: 2005-06 Football

…so you want Panthers in Superbowl against Broncos? Meet Steve Smith - the NFL bad boy. Panthers are good. Real good. Last week, the stopped one of NFC’s best offense. Yesterday, they(excuse me.. Steve Smith) exposed one of NFL’s best defense. At the moment, Panthers are on a roll, and they should be everyone’s bet to win the SB.

Broncos may have the home field advantage, but come playoff time, it is over-rated.

Re: 2005-06 Football

Broncos are not over-rated, actually they are not even rated. Not even the fans were talking about playoffs; they just wanted a descent season.

Anyway, I don't see either of the NFC teams winning the Super Bowl. Its either Stealers or Broncos!

Re: 2005-06 Football

I never said Broncos are over-rated. The home field advantage is...

Re: 2005-06 Football

The Steelers - Colts game was crazy, the refs almost stole it from Pitt. Would have been horrible if Bettis's last play of his career was a fumble that ended Pitts season, great job by Big Ben for tripping him up. Hope the Steelers take it all.
