And Kobe comes to Toronto…

:k:

It wasnt a sweep, but game 2 was merely a footnote, :hula:

Great game, going up by 28 was really a shock. Shaq showed that he really was the core of the Lakers, they’re up by 7 then he sits on the bench and Pistons in no time go up by 6. Fischer showed class after the game with his comments, Phil doesn’t sound like he’s coming back.

Meanwhile the world champion Detroit Pistons look well oiled and will only be better next season.

                                              :nuch:

I don;t understand why people argue with me…Kobe this..and Kobe that. Kobe stunked up the place again. Poor choice of shots. Trying to do too much and getting stripped and leading to fast break dunks.

Kobe should have ran the offense and only take what was given to him by the defense. I would have gone smaller and have Fisher play the 2 guard, any double team on kobe’s penetration owuld have left him open. And he CAN knock down the open shot. He could have played Billups and frankly did a better job than Payton.

When Rasheed got 2 fouls, they should have ran the offense to get Salav in the game. He would have takent he fowards outside and made rebounding easier and would have also been able to hit the shots on any Kobe penetration.
Zen Meister my ass!!!

I am willing to take over for Jackson. But first, I will need to remove Jack from the building and put Monica Belluci  in that seat.

Wolves lost the series because they didn;t play defense. Also, Cassel as injured as well but you didn;t see the btiching and making excuses.

Where am I making excuses? Wolves didn't play defense? They were ranked # 4 in defence this season..

You can ofcourse compare Shaq to Jordan. They were the most dominant players of their era. Option 1 or the team. Shaq has delivered, Kobe hasn't.

Duh...

Getting double triple teamed is not a new phenomenona dn it doesn't ean that your automatically draw the foul. How you beat double triple teams is to pass out before the defenders box you in, that way you create open shts for your teammates without allowing for the weakside defense to rotate over. You don;t heave 25ft rainbows and expect to get a call. This is where his selfishness has beaten them.
You ain't watching the game as I saw. He drew triple team, drew the contact and didn't get the call. Now, I've said this. He passed the ball as well to his team-mate, who returned the ball to Kobe with just 2 sec left on shotclock. He forced those shots. How could you blame him for that?

Who cares? No one asking Kobe to not shoot, but asking him to take better shots, pass out of double teams and for god's sake make the shots that are there.
He took better shots. Some went it, some didn't. He passed the ball as well. Shaq didn't have a better last night. Should he be blamed for loss?

Bottom line: Collectively, whole team didn't play, and Kobe was right in saying that. The media kept harping about 5 on 2 bb this series but Kobe immediately corrected them.

He did throw the game...Magic understood the need to step his shooting when needed and get the teammates involved more when needed, this what superstars do. Kobe is a baby. nothing more.
Now, why are you comparing Kobe to Magic? How on earth he threw the game away? He passed the ball to his team-mate who couldn't knock down the shots. Why would he be blamed for that?

You have much to learn about the game my son!!!! Go and play th egame instead of regurgitating buzzwards like "dish" and :boards" from ESPN.

I've to learn about game? You sound like ESPN correspondent who has nothing better to say, appear on NBA thread whenever things go wrong against Lakers just like that.

Props to coach Larry Brown for scoring that wife of his, man still has moves at 63 years of age.

at first, i thought she was the daughter!

This picture pretty much sums up Lakers woes: Kobe and Shaq at odds with eachother during the season and especially during the finals, Lack of teamwork, ego's clashing, old age, lack of energy etc etc.

Well deserved win for Larry Brown and co. He becomes the first coach in basketball history to win an NCAA and NBA title.

Lakers are in disarray at the moment. July 1st is the big day and will determine which direction the management wants to go.

Oyee 5Abi. Don’t blame Shaq-Kobe feud/ego or whatever the hell you gonna call it for L.A. loss. Man, you can do better than that.

Shaq and Kobe aren’t going anywhere. The Lakers are the classiest franchise in the league. You wonder why guys like Harper, Shaw hang around even though they don’t get paid? Why Magic was awarded a front office position despite minimal contributions? Just look at what the Bulls running everyone out of town after '98 did to them.

The Lakers will never trade players(Shobe) that brought them 3 titles. It’s not the way they do business. In Summer, drastic changes are going to be made for sure especially bench players. Phil is meeting today with Mitch and Jerry Buss tomorrow. Most likely, if Phil doesn’t get 10 mil deal, he would likely to call it off. He has no desire to coach other teams in the NBA than the L.A. Lakers.

The name of Rudy Tomjanovich has come up if Phil doesn’t return. I have nothing against the guy and won’t mind him, but it would be very strange to have him as a Laker. Those who know NBA history know why.

Depends what will be the mind set of Malone. If he’s 100% fit, Kobe will convince him to play one more season. Since both are neighbors and become friends over the course of the year, Malone will listen to him. Payton has a contract left for one more season, even though, he can opt out, however, if Malone stays, G.P will stay as well.

The Lakers have shown that they can play at the highest level when all 4 superstars(P-MOB) are in the lineup. Things will come together homez, don’t jumper over to the media bandwagon yet. Stay in LALA land!

Oh, and just for you(well sort of). I’ve been playing around with multimedia stuff for some time. Gotta check out the video. It’ll console ya.
