I’m → this close ← to buying one… I need to know if you or anyone you know has had any negative experiences with the car - also share your postive ones please.
Its a Toyota. It can't be bad, ofcourse. Naturally, you will only buy it if you are really REALLY sure that you want a two-door Camry.
^^ yeah dude - I hear ya...
its just that I want a reliable semi-luxury sporty car, and this one seems to fit the bill... waisey bhi its only now that I can buy a coupe... warna two to three years down the road, I'm gonna hafta start lookin for a "family car" if you know what I mean ;)

That wink added a sense of nastiness that isn't really there.
So anyways, if it is a coupe you are looking for, you have lots of choices. I personally like the accord coupe better than solara but there are countless other choices aswell but you gotta give us more info. Like what model/year, etc
Yeah, I know. In its price range, its a pretty good deal. The competing vehicles are 2-Dr Accord and some American fare (Sebring, Stratus etc). So its actually a walk.
For Solara, the exterior styling is, shall we say, quite "aggressive". And if you are already over it, and like the styling, then its a nice, infact VERY nice car. I have driven it once, and the ride quality is excellent. Unfortunately, none of my friends have Solara. They either go with 4-Drs or convertibles (but then what do you expect in sunny California?). So no first hand, long-term experiences. Sorry.
not to discourage you or anything…but <>](http://toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=17837)

errr... that's a different genre - I'd have considered it maybe a couple of years back when I bought my Grand Am... right now its more of a business-class car with a hint of sportiness.

Thanks for the info dewana tera - those incidents seem to pertain mostly to the 2004 model and some isolated ones on top of that... good to know nevertheless - thanks!

Well da wink meant that my "official" status will be a lil different in the upcoming years, so I gotta take that into account. Yeah, I was looking into Accord LX V6 as well, but for some reason didn't get the same feel when I drove it.
As far as requirements go, like I already said, business-class, sleek/somewhat sporty, and reliable (I'm not into domestics anymore).
thats why i had the smiley! :-)
i was planning to get a solara too but its too big, and is close to being a family car..i think its a two door so you want to keep that in mind too.
right now toyota is offering some kind of deal on solara.
ok... didn't end up buying the Solara...
On doing some background research (thank you CarFax!), I found out that the car had been imported from the U.S. and had been declared under a Salvage Title! and some states use that title for stolen vehicles too.
No wonder the car was a couple of grands cheaper than the going retail value.
Next in line... an Acura 3.2 CL... gonna be checking it out tomorrow.
that is a nice car Umar bhai :k:
never liked the solara anyways ![]()
Suddenly T Solara market is quite hot.
People have suddenly realized that they see too many "expensive" looking Solaras on the streets Why ?
Because Toyota is selling more Convertibles than they can make. and for a lill xtra $ only. It is a very spacious and smart car to drive topless.
:D
