A male friend is trying to lose weight, and I remember many years ago a man at work tried this 2 week diet plan thing and he SERIOUSLY lost a lot of weight. It was most dramatic.
Anyhow, I have tried searching t’internet for a similar plan but cannot find one. If anyone has a 2 week diet plan that Mr Man Friend can follow, please contribute here.
It was quite a straighforward timetable thing, with breakfast, lunch, dinner and some black tea in between. It contained cottage cheese n baked potatoes, fish, salad, spinach, dry toast etc.
Unbelievable results, we wondered if the man had been ill, but he proudly informed us of this diet plan. It was amazing.
Re: 2 week diet meal plan for a man - anyone got one???
This sounds like the 'atkins' diet to me, it does provide rapid weight loss especially in men but you shouldn't do it for long.
www . atkins . com /Program/FourPhases/WhatIsInduction/TwoWeekMealPlan.aspx
I cant post links yet so sorry about the format, it is a decent website providing lots of info on the atkins diet and a 2 week recipe planner. It's basically a very low carb, high protein diet.

Hmm, just had a look at it, although there are some similarities, the atkins diet is big on eggs and meat and cheese! The one the man had more like low fat cottage cheese n dry toast etc, I distinctly remember the black tea NO sugar bits in between.
However, I wonder if this atkins diet is also good for losing weight, but it sounds very unhealthy.

yup its very unhealthy, the minute u come off it, the weight creeps back on. anybody with half a brain will tell you that you can't lose weight by cutting out a food group (in this case carbs)... and toasts is carbs right? therefore off limits in atkins...

Well there are a lot of 'half brained' people out there sucessfully losing weight with the atkins diet. I'm not advocating it, but maybe you should check out how our bodies metabolise proteins and carbs then you can actually see how it works.
Most people use it to drop pounds quickly for a special occasion, or to kick start weight loss at the start of a long term diet plan.
the only effective two-week weight loss plan is amputation.
:D.................No Queer Ji.............taking two wholee weeeeks.............to amputate...............sounds very very painful..................don't you think?
simply use a Guillotine.............quick and less pain.........or better yet go to a "Dunger Doctor".....:D

yup yup you can lose weight on atkins but let me rephrase, you can't "healthily" lost weight on atkins, the basic principle of "everything in moderation and lots of exercise" still apply

^ ur right, it's not a permanent solution by any means, but it's definitely a good way to kickstart a regime.
The south beach diet is similar, in that for only2 weeks you cut out ALL carbs. after 2 weeks you slowly add on the "good" carbs, of course leaving out refined and sugars etc.... then it tapers into the maintenance stage, which is..well. maintaining.
in 14 days u loose almost 10 to 14 lbs. but then depends on ones body system.
how? dehydration? one lb of fat is about 3500 calories. thats enough energy for most sedentary adults' needs for two whole days without any other food intake. there is no way you can burn one lb a day for 14 days even if you have the aerobic engine of lance armstrong..
