Went to a parlour today, and saw 2 sisters they had same lehnga’s for the Barat, getting married on the same day… it was kind of cute, but different.
I’ve heard and seen 2 brothers getting married at the same time joint Valima thing, And even it was same in our case, My husband and Jeth we had a Valima together. Just My jeths mehndi, barat was a week earlier…
Anyway funny thing happened, the bride was from a neighbouring country and we were gupshupping in English, all the parlour wali’s were looking at us due to the accent i think, lol.. the customers, every single person there. I mean seriously, why can’t they just carry on with their work…
I've heard (well mostly on this forum) that two girls from the same family should never get married on the same day because one will have bad luck...now who knows if that's true or not...
I went to a wedding once where twin sisters got married on the same day. One of them is still happily married, the other one got a divorce after a year.
They say it's bad luck if you get the nikah done on the same day, not the rukhsati. Two of my aunts got married the same day (rukhsati not nikah) they both had an amazing married life and they're both grandmothers now. Maybe its just a myth?
