Do Saal Ki Aurat is a tale of trust, betrayal and devotion. The story highlights the life of Hajra, a woman who is dedicated to her role as a wife and a mother of two sons. Hajra’s husband, Umar is a materialistic person and his only aim is to get rich. To get Canadian nationality Umar marries a Canadian woman, abandoning Hajra and his sons. Disheartened and broken, Hajra begins her new life as a single mother, by finding employment while raising her sons with devotion. But the tale of her sorrows and hardships doesn’t end here for Hajra has more crosses to bear. What will be her fate?

The first few episodes were too tragic, I could not watch any further.

Pakistani dramas Are weird. I see my mom watching those like crazy. My sister found her a website of dramas and she now watches those like crazy. And whenever I pass by I hear depressing sounds, music, divorced, fight. I ask my mom why is she watching these crazy depressing stuff when you have enough of your own fights and dramas with dad and she just smacks me

and 2 Saal Ki aurat? 2 saal Ki bachhi hoti hai.

I don't know why today's directors can't tell their stories without resorting to a cliches and morosity. In golden era of PTV, there were directors like Sahia Kazmi who used to highlight very serious social issues and grim realities but their dramas were never depressing. Infact, they were entertaining, light and yet powerful. Their story lines were always engaging and they made intelligent use of devices likes music , humor and wit to make serious themes very entertaining and enjoyable to watch. Need to learn from them.

Pisiform you should watch Shanakht. It is an awesome drama. Me and my family love it among other Pakistani dramas. Lot of great issues to be discussed in it. I think serials are less about stories more about characters and discussing how you would react if you were in a similar situation.

My husband and I have been confused why they named the serial do saal ki aurat. Her child shown in of 7 years of age when her husband leaves her .. how is she two years ki aurat?
