I have been offered a job and have also accepted it (which i am due to start in a few months time)…now ive been called for interview for another similar job..
being as I verbally accepted the first one…can i still refuse it…if i prefer the second one?
should the second job interviewer be told about the first job offer?

u can back out after verbal acceptance just know u are burning some bridges there. dont tell the second company about the offer from teh first company, tell them you have other offers etc, but no real gain in this case by throwing the name. the worst thing that can happen is that the guys at company #2 know ppl at company #1, company #1 finds out u are interviewing even after accepting their offer, and they withdraw their offer, and #2 does not offer u a position,
play it safe.

go for the one you preferred, call the first one and tell them you have another offer and going for that, as fraudia said, you dont have to mention other company name.

I have even seen people just not showing up on the first day even after accepting the offer by signing the contract. Let alone notifying the company. It happens all the time. Do what you gotta do but like pir said, play it safe.
