Soo i got my ultrasound done a few weeks ago and my gyna told me that there was another “fruit” (haha that’s what she called it by than)
Nyway i didn’t know what to do or say (totally flabbergasted)… than after a few secs she looked again and said, ‘ohh noo i think i was wrong’.. so things weren’t really clear back than…
todayyy i went again to do an extra ultra sound just to b sure ( i am just over the12th week Ma Shaa Allah) and the Gyna confirmed it! I am (Maa Shaa Allah and In Shaa Allah) expecting a twin!
Now my questions:
r there any things i should take extra care of?
Since my pregnancy, i am hungry 24/7.. but i try to eat a lot of fruits (i carry 1 apple 2 carrots 2 oranges and an banana with me per day)..
(i try to resist all the yummy stuff :(, but my biggest addictions are choclate and cake :|)
i used to go to the gym 3/4 times a week, but only have a long walk after work now. Can i continue this?.. or should i cut some days?
i have heard many women about a huge belly when they are expecting a twin, so the back is overloaded, is there anything that can help me reduce the weight/burden on my back? (i work 36 hours in an office and have to visit clients 70% of my time).
My last and most important question for me is:
My clothing. I don’t like the fact that people see my belly comming in before i do (-__-). I have seen some ladies wearing extra tight/accenturating clothes around the belly, just to show it of but i don’t really comfi with doing that. In the field where i work i have to meet a lot of male clients/business partners. So can someone help me a bit with the do’s and dont’s? ( i wear a suit now and sometimes a skirt (knee length with a penty) …
another thing: should i spend a lot of money to buy pregnancy clothes, and is there a huge difference between pregnancy clothes and normal clothes? (i mean i can buy 2 sizes larger than i normal wear na?) and should i remake my shalwaar kameezes? (order new shalwaar kameezes)?
Awwww Mashallah!!! I’m the mother of twins (fraternal boys, now 7 yrs old) and I will never ever forget that moment of seeing two blinking heartbeats on the ultrasound monitor!!!
As far as extra care goes, you’ll just have to wait and see. I had complications starting at 12 weeks and then went on complete bedrest from about 24 weeks onwards. My babies were born early as well.
That being said, I know women who have carried twins full term without a single problem so just take your cues from your body and listen to EVERYTHING your OB/GyN tells you to do!
The only maternity clothes I bought were the maternity pants with the wide elastic panel…I got away with wearing my same shirts and dresses and such. I only gained 16lbs with my twins…basically nothing! Don’t be in a hurry to buy or order anything until you actually need it. With all the flowy a-line and frock sstyle shirts that have been in fashion lately I doubt you’ll need much
Ahhh seriously??? but maa shaa allah! ur babies r grown up now :D… (i will deffinatly stalk you when time of delivery comes near :.. cuz i have tonsss of questions about it (specially the care of the babies after delivery :|…)
and true… the time when i saw 2 hearts beating i was totally flabbergasted… later on, when i told my mum and MIL… i started crying
Thanks for the tip! i need to buy those shirts/dresses (i only have the fitted ones) … would a poncho look good?
Thanks honn
Thanks Devilish
i love twins aswell …lkin doosron key hahah butt now i am a bit scared
Congratulations! I have heard two good news today mA…Bohat mubarak ho!
Enjoy your pregnancy, eat whenever you are hungry - you are going to put on weight no matter what but its great you are binging on fruits
I would suggest you buy maternity wear, since it fits so much better than the ‘regular’ clothes, because from the shoulders shirts won’t fit you properly.
Stay away from stress and people who cause it, be happy and read dua’s during your entire pregnancy!
