100 all out

Who says our brilliant bowling line up cannot score three figures. Hats off to the team for such a brilliant performance. I am so impressed.

Pakistan bowled out for 100The Report by Siddarth Ravindran
June 24, 2012
**
Lunch** *Pakistan 100 (****v 4-13, Herath 3-30) trail Sri Lanka 472 (Sangakkara 199, Dilshan 101, M Jayawardene 62, Ajmal 5-146) by 372 runs *

Sri Lanka continued to maintain a vice-like grip on the Galle Test on the third day despite some dogged defiance from debutant Mohammad Ayub before lunch. Runs were scarce and the turn was plentiful as Pakistan just avoided the ignominy of a sixth sub-100 Test total in three years but had little else to be smile about.
In a week where the ICC will yet again discuss the Decision Review System, the Galle Test provided cricket’s governing body more evidence for making the system mandatory for all international matches. There had been a handful of wrong umpiring decisions in the first two days, and another one early on Sunday undermined Pakistan’s already slim chances of mounting a fightback, as Younis Khan was adjudged lbw though he inside-edged the ball.

Re: 1st Test: Sri Lanka v Pakistan at Galle, Jun 22-26, 2012

Pakistan has been at the wrong end of a lot of pathetic umpiring decisions. However that does not excuse the abysmal batting show put up by our batsmen.

Re: 1st Test: Sri Lanka v Pakistan at Galle, Jun 22-26, 2012

Pakistani batting for sure … :teary2:

Re: 1st Test: Sri Lanka v Pakistan at Galle, Jun 22-26, 2012

SL didnt enforce the follow on, they really want to rub in the upcoming defeat.

Re: 1st Test: Sri Lanka v Pakistan at Galle, Jun 22-26, 2012

At least Pak is not going to have an inning defeat now!

BTW thanks Mahela, for once, somebody thought Pakistan can either score 372+ runs in 3rd innings or can bat for 2.5 days to draw the test!!!

Re: 1st Test: Sri Lanka v Pakistan at Galle, Jun 22-26, 2012

It is a real shame, when Pakistan was batting the pitch became unplayable and now SL is batting the pitch has become placid. Not fair, how else can you explain SL 79/0 in second innings. I have a suspicion that the pitch will become unplayable again when Pakistan bats. Poor Pakistani batsmen they end up at the wrong end of the pitch every time.

O Galle koi nai.

Even if the Lankans give us a target of 800 we’ll do it.

Re: 1st Test: Sri Lanka v Pakistan at Galle, Jun 22-26, 2012

I think the umpires are out of form too... :D

Re: 1st Test: Sri Lanka v Pakistan at Galle, Jun 22-26, 2012

SL 93/3

Re: 1st Test: Sri Lanka v Pakistan at Galle, Jun 22-26, 2012

Sri Lanka extending the lead to 465.** The umpiring errors continued to pile up, two more added in this session. **

Re: 1st Test: Sri Lanka v Pakistan at Galle, Jun 22-26, 2012

Wht u think PCB can complaint against these decisions like Bangladesh did for Asia cup ?

Re: 1st Test: Sri Lanka v Pakistan at Galle, Jun 22-26, 2012

SL are really scared of our batsmen. They have a lead of 486 runs and they are still batting. To be honest Hafeez alone can score these runs in two sessions so one can understand SL reluctance to declare.
