Pakistan can still comeback by restricting Australia under 400 at the end of the day and taking all wickets.
Martyn is looking a little nervous against Saqlain.
If they can get Gilchrist and Waugh before this day ends than we might have something to watch.
I agree, why was Sami played in place of Kaneria.
Just looking the basis of the pitch on first day doesn't tell you the outcome of the conditions for the next 5 days.
Very bad decision.
The only decent fast bowler has been Shoaib, who has only given 3 runs per over but others like Waqar, Sami and Razzak have been extremely expensive.
yeah Kaenrai should be playing, maybe grass on the pitch decieved Waqar..
though pakistan has come back strongly so far.. 330-5 one more wicket and the day will be even..
Waqar and shoaib bolwed well alongwith saqlain sami was a real disappointment ,,,
Pakistan has taken 3 wickets after tea, good comeback.
But overall dissappointing performance, specially Sami.

Saqlain was the best bowler while Sami was poor, 15 overs for 70 runs.
Razzak should give thought to his bowling, he is not that bad.
Late wickets saved the day for pakistan warna total embarrassment.. Sami was really disappointing today :(
Shoaib was excellent, too bad he couldnt pick up a wicket but was really unlukcy today

Aussies are heading for 400 + which will be tough to chase with our batting line up. I hope they have a good go though.
Waqar was bowling so well in the morning - What happened all at a sudden - He gave away 64 runs ni 11 over ?? Where is Mushtaq Ahmed ?? Why is he not even considered now a days ? I thought he is a good spinner, no ?

Shoaib is in better shape then he was during the champions trophy. He bowled well today but still far from his best.
One the first day, score of 330

One bad pick Sami in place of Kenerya well its good he gave chance to Sami and next time it will be easy for Waqar to pick Kenerya.
I did not expected Waqar to bowl so well but he did a really good job I thought Shoaib might help take some wickets but it seems he is good with his pace not taking wickets.
So far PAK did a good job and I am sure Misbah and Younus Khan can fight back. If PAK could take the Aussies under 400 I am sure the youngsters won't feel under preasure and they will be able to perform well.
If we restrict them to target of under 400 tomm morning when all the bowlers r fresh, pakistan might manage to score something around 300 then otherwise woh target dekh ke hi mar jayeinge......all we need is a good partnership from taufeeq umar n imran nazir.....i think imran nazir is playing a test match after a long while as they have made him a ODI opener. I don't see any Afridi here.....he is a good bowler against aussies.
even if pakistan can restrict the aussies around 400 tomorrow, they will have an uphill task because our batting does not look to strong, especially against this aussie attack...........
well only bad session pakistan had was morning session, after getting the big wicket of hayden, our bowlers bowled really bad but after that they bowled with discipline and piceked up four wickets ....
Lets hope they continue picking up wickets tomorrow early on.....
less then 400 shuld be the prime target....
