Just to put things in perspective…Pathan & Balaji have not had an extended run against other teams. More so Balaji.
I am not saying they are extra-ordinary bowlers, just stating facts.

well extended run will only make him or even come closer Chaminda Vaas and thats it and perhaps Balaji if not murdered by other good players he will receive the feat of coming closer to Srinaath

Some1 ->That may be true. Time will tell all. But nothing I saw from Balaji yesterday showed me that he will be a star. He is a decent/good seamer who bowls medium pace, decent line legnth and mildly swings the ball. The vast majority of the wickets were due to batsmen making glaring errors.
Generally I rate Pathan higher than Balaji, but I'll hold judgement on him until he plays and extended series against another team.

Everyone does not have to be Akram or Waqar to take 5 wickets.
Even Agarkar was quite successful against the Australians when India toured Australia last year. Did that prove anything regarding the abilities(or the lack of it) of the Aussie batsmen ?
Let me ask you guys this...how many matches has Umar Gul played. He had one good outing against India....and his injury is being regretted as if he was Wasim Akram already.
I guess all I am trying to say is that please try to keep your emotions out if you are presenting a logical case......

As long as only half day is lost to rain, I still think there is a possibility for a result.

first Umer gul is not Akram or Waqar and no one said that we miss a future W
2nd agarkar is a decent bowler, one of those who could not actually perform at the international arena, against australia as you said his record is good but did you check the avg and econ column as well 
so that speaks it self, Umer gul is way better than agarkar, perhaps better

I dont follow your arguement. Guls absence is missed only because he is likely more capable than Rana or Razzaq the guys who are playing NOT because he is Wasim Akram. By the way if you looked at Umar Guls stats they are impressive and certainly indicate that he has good potential, keeping in mind of course that he has’nt played for a long time yet.
Secondly, the abilities of a batting side most certainly correlates to the success of the bowlers they are facing. If I was bowling against Kenya or Bangladesh I might get a wicket or two, LOL. If I were bowling to Australia I would’nt expect the same results. I dont see how anyone would reasonably doubt that, the facts seems obvious enough.
