and to me it feels like a loss:(
Re: 1st test...Pak Vs India at Mohali
I'm glad Akmal chose to speak in urdu instead of english. Theres no harm in not knowing english, infact i think inzy should speak in urdu too. Half of the crowd probably doesnt speak english anyway.

Credit goes to Ravi Shastri.
Re: 1st test...Pak Vs India at Mohali
I still believe Balaji deserved the MOM award just as much as akmal. It was his first 5-for and he had the paki batsmen shaking in their boots. I think giving Akmal the MOM had a lot to do with keeping the series politically neutral.
Re: 1st test…Pak Vs India at Mohali
Very true, he saved Akmal plenty of face. ![]()
The moment he was announced MOM, Akmal had a look on his face which, in addition to his surprise, almost screamed out: How the feck am i going to talk to him in english??? ![]()
Re: 1st test…Pak Vs India at Mohali
The only difference is Akmal performed when things looked hopeless, and openers had failed, I agree the middle order did perform, but take away Akmals 100 and you were staring at the barrel of the gun.
Re: 1st test…Pak Vs India at Mohali
In the end, the difference between Pakistan’s defeat and draw was Kamran’s innings and this is why he was chosen. Balaji’s performance was of great proportions but that failed to strike the final blow that is why he didnt get one.
Re: 1st test...Pak Vs India at Mohali
True that. The last true ray of hope really was Asim Kamal and with him gone India were at a very commanding position. And then bunty boy shows up with a ton. True what manjrekar said, Inzi should consult Akmal on how to play Kumble's flippers. :)
Re: 1st test...Pak Vs India at Mohali
What a game and what a performance by Kamran and Razzaq. I've never been a huge Kamran fan, but he certainly proved me wrong with his batting today. Absolutely thrilling.
Almost as good was Rana. Wow, what batting. He had some absolutetly gorgeous strokes.
I look forward to reading about this match tomarrow.
Re: 1st test...Pak Vs India at Mohali
yes indeed, we have just won a match and have taken out from their mouth.
Congrats to Inzimam 11 and Inzi. The way he is coming out in difficult days of his captaincy is wonderful. Not even for a second he pays attention to negetive approach and more over he is leading from the front.
Kamran is won my vote today and am sure that he has forced many of us to change their minds regarding him. What a Knock !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
dont forget to give credit to Abdul Razzak for his wonderful 71.
And have u guys notice something unusual about indian commentators ? They are more supportive of PAkistan Team now then any time in past. Indeed good to see.
we are only missing Sahid Afridi in place of Taufeeq.
Celebrate & Enjoy
Re: 1st test...Pak Vs India at Mohali
Its a friendship series. Like it or not, you have to show support for the other team. Dil dil may to sab hi gaaliaaN de rahay hongay. :p
Re: 1st test...Pak Vs India at Mohali
i went to see the score today and i am so happy that pakistan did not lose this game...its really weird but i had faith in this team
Re: 1st test...Pak Vs India at Mohali
how come waqar younis wasnt commentating? ramiz raja has lost weight!
Re: 1st test...Pak Vs India at Mohali
First off… congratulations to everyone! On the one hand, its nothing short of a miracle that Pakistan managed to surmount what seemed like an inevitable defeat at the start of the day today. Kudos to Akmal who played with will and with composure, with method and with judgment. Two thumbs up for Razzaq who resisted his natural temptations, and playing a supporting and selfless knock, foreign to his temperament on the field.
On the final day, Pakistan got some divine help as some catches were dropped and umpiring went our way for a change.
Also, just looking back at this first test match, I can’t help but think that the team has made a statement over the past five days to give the critics some food for thought.
They say we comprise a weak bowling attack… we proved you wrong on the third day showing that we’re not. Admittedly, we’re inexperienced, but give us a day to test out the waters (second day) and we’ll show you our mettle.
The batting could certainly have been better at the top order, but our Inzi and Yoyo proved that they can still inspire the team to do better… their feat can still spawn energy and fervor and the players that followed them on the fourth and fifth days are envoys of the fact.
In the end, we should remember that our team is young and talented albeit inexperienced. Lets give them more time and show trust in their abilities. Instead of coercing performance through fear of exclusion, let’s engage them through mentoring and inspiration.

it did went our way laikin there wasnt a single wrong decision.
Re: 1st test...Pak Vs India at Mohali
^^ true... but that's what I meant - the way that Indian bowlers were appealing, I was just fearing that the umpire might succumb to a wrong decision like the first and fourth days.

Re: 1st test...Pak Vs India at Mohali
I'm a total blonde when it comes to cricket, so why was the match drawn? Was it raining tomatoes and chappals?
