1st Test: New Zealand vs Sri Lanka

I think Fleming was wise enough to declare his inning. Only because of the declaration, New Zealand was able to move Atapattu. Fleming knew that day is about to end and light isn't good to continue the innings so it might be perfect to declare the innings at this time and hand over the batting to Sri Lanka.

agreed:k:…

Remember how some guppies were blaming Agarkar that he looked so happy when he scored a century against England and didn't look bothered at the end when India lost the match.

Teaser - India had lost the match and Agarkar was more concerned about his personal goals and happy that he had scored a century, well it may have been a personal milestone for him because he never score a century again, but it was not an occasion to celebrate.

A Similar situation was when Sachin won the Man of the series award in the world Cup but he was not happy, because he had lost the finals.

About Fleming declaring - I think it was the right thing to do, Infact he should have scored fast and declared earlier.

Thats what I am saying it was the right decision by Fleming. He could have played fast but I think he did not want to lose the match cuz the way other players were playing he thought his team could be out in less than 300 runs and thats why he was playing slow than finally he saw a reasonable and defendable score he declared the inning which was very wise.

Too bad the match went into draw. From the look of the pitch, the match looked to be a draw from day 1. The match didn't even come close of having a result. Fleming should be kicking himself now.
