Pakistan are lacking atleast one more quality batsman. We are essentially a 225-250 team which is simply not good enough in tests. Even Razzaq (he can't bowl any worse than Sami) would have been a handful here. I know India struggled as well in the first innings but their batting generally clicks in tests. The way we have batted against India, we might need Inzi's services against Australia. Tests against Australia might finish inside 3 days. On our last tour in 2004 none of the tests went into a 5th day!

and if we are lacking one quality batsman, then we must have a quality bowler in place of players like Sami. I remember during the days of 2 W's, our bowling use to compensate for our batting nightmares. We MUST have a bowling attack featuring Shoaib, Asif, Gul, if we want to challenge a quality opposition.

I dont agree. Our problem is that we are so use to of watching defensive batting by our late order that we don't aknowledge when we have players like Misbah taking calculated risk. His hit could have been a six and in that case all of us would hav been applauding him for his calculated 50.

Misbah knew that SAmi and himself cannot repeat the first innings heroics and it could take just one ball to dismiss Sami and thats why he was looking to build as much lead he could.

His runout was stupid and irresponsible but I wont blame him for his dismissal in the 2nd innings. Infact it is refreshing to see that we have a player in our middle order who have the balls to pressurize the opposition in tense situations instead of going into a defensive mode.

There is an outside chance Gull, Asif and Shoaib will all play in the 3rd test. If it does happen it will be the first time they will play together in a test. Razzaq would be great, and we could have used him in the ODI series as well.

Inzi actually didnot play in all the tests in that series, Yoyo who was vc lead the team in the last two and that was the last tour yoyo was vice-captain.
Inzi also did not lead the team in the 3rd test at Karachi when Pakistan beat India.

its easy to blame misbah, but lets not forget he is a newcomer. What have the seniors Yousuf, Younis, Akmal, Malik contributed in this match, - nothing.
