196 and 161. And this is one of the best batting line-up. Australia surely is way ahead of everyone else.

Re: 1st Test: Australia v India at Melbourne - Dec 26-30, 2007

india got blown away

positive is that their bowling was good, zaheer khan was very very impressive, kumble bowled really well too

negative is obviously their batting

and i dont know if u guys saw the match, but the aussie bowling is so disciplined and they bowl perfectly to the current field setting that its painstaking to get each run on the board. its amazing how a person like johnson who has played 3 tests can bowl like he has been playing test cricket for 10 years

Now that is what you call rout.

Re: 1st Test: Australia v India at Melbourne - Dec 26-30, 2007

*I watched the match last night, till India was 4 wickets down, then I fell asleep. India ki dhulayi aise hoyi hai jaise dhobi garam paani say kapray bahir nikaal kar nachorta hai.

Maza aa' gya.*

What a thrashing given to the Indians.

Re: 1st Test: Australia v India at Melbourne - Dec 26-30, 2007

Australia have won 15 consecutive tests. Steve Waugh's record of 16 straight Test wins is under threat.

Re: 1st Test: Australia v India at Melbourne - Dec 26-30, 2007

^How ridiculous is it that they are now competing with their own former teams? How the hell do the senior players sustain such hunger as to endlessly train and improve with age as a result?

Re: 1st Test: Australia v India at Melbourne - Dec 26-30, 2007

Its boloody pathetic display by the indians. It is very clear to see that the australians have done a lot of homework regarding each indian batsmen. There was unique field placement for every batsmen. It was painful to see dravid and co struggling to put balls away for singles. Indians should take the attack to the australians. It is useless to stand there and defend every delivery or play every delivery on merit.
