Drop hafeez and Imad and bring Haris and Shadab and bring Faheem up the batting order.
Re: 1st semi-final: England vs Pakistan | 14th June, 2017 | Cardiff -
Realistically speaking, this will be the end of the road for us. We qualified for the semi-final. Isi baat pai khush ho jaao.
Re: 1st semi-final: England vs Pakistan | 14th June, 2017 | Cardiff -
Whether win or loose, play positively - don’t loose pathetically!
Re: 1st semi-final: England vs Pakistan | 14th June, 2017 | Cardiff -
Agree.
ODIs are won by batsmen and the fact is both England and India (Aus and RSA despite not making it to the semis due to various reasons; rain and ‘choking syndrome’ are not far behind in batting) have very strong batting line-ups right now.
Re: 1st semi-final: England vs Pakistan | 14th June, 2017 | Cardiff -
Coach has hinted that malik and Sarfraz can be promoted which is the right move but it means:
Its a bummer to see Babar Azam out-of-form for this long. Such talent but like his cousins just wasting away.
Re: 1st semi-final: England vs Pakistan | 14th June, 2017 | Cardiff -
Well, last time Pakistan met England in ODI played at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff … it was on Sept 4, 2016 (around a year ago). Fortunately, Pakistan chasing 303 to win, won the match and obviously, Sarfraz was MOM with 90 runs in 73 balls. When Sarfraz came, Pakistan was 3 for 77 chasing 303 target and when he got out, it was 240 for 4 and Pakistan needed only 63 runs in 74 balls (12.2 overs) with 6 wickets remaining. Thus, Pakistan got the target. We can just pray that history repeats itself. Here is Pakistan score card.

And Shoaib as well and also perhaps Imad. I personally think Ahmed Shezad, Shoaib Malik and Hafeez should be kicked out of the team permanently. They are worthless. Have played over 150 ODIs and still do not perform when needed. They have no skills.
Re: 1st semi-final: England vs Pakistan | 14th June, 2017 | Cardiff -
Sarfraz played classic inning at Lords (London-UK). Sarfraz came in when Pakistan was 3 wicket down for 2 runs (Aslam, Sharjeel and Azhar all gone) in 19 balls (3.1 overs) playing first. So, even though situation batting first should not have gone so tense, when team is 3 wkts down for 2 runs, situation do get tense. Anyhow, Sarfraz batted sensibly and made 105 runs in 130 balls (slow, but still better than most Pakistani batsmen). In the end, Pakistan scored 251 and gave target 252.
England got the target in 47.3 overs. Even though Pakistan bowled fine, Pakistan bowling did not mange to contain England within target and lost.
Anyhow, match shows that from 3 wickets down for 2 runs, Pakistan team can recover. I think, if Pakistan team is selected on merit, they can be a formidable force, but for that, when selecting team, Parchi, discrimination, biases, like/dislike, provincialism, corruption and prejudices should stop.

Re: 1st semi-final: England vs Pakistan | 14th June, 2017 | Cardiff -
My team for Semi-final (from those who are already selected in team, even though they are not the best). Note: Batting order is important, as I believe those who can play fast should come before those who play slow, as slow players waste so many balls that they create pressure on later batsmen. On the other hand, if they play slow then why they expect bowlers to make fast runs? Bowlers are not in team to score runs, but to bowl. If they score runs than it is just bonus. It is duty of these slow parchi players (batsmen) to play fast and score runs at reasonable rate, not later players. Hence my team in batting order is:
1: F Zaman
2: Sarfraz … he has opened the inning successfully in past, so why not take responsibility from first ball?
… … … (Sarfraz can come at No 3 if he wants to, but opening the inning is better for him).
3: Malik … Amongst player playing, he normally score faster than others.
4: Azhar … he has good average and after wasting quite a few balls, can accelerate.
5: Imad … he has reasonable average and can also play faster then most others.
6: Babar … he has good average and after wasting some balls, can play at reasonable pace.
7: Haris … his average is good though play slow.
8: Shadab … he has reasonable first class average and can bat.
9: Faheem Ashraf … He can bat and could come at number 5, but then team also need some good hitter of the ball later in inning.
10: Amir … he can also bat as we all know.
11: Hasan Ali …
If Pakistan need fast bowler over slow, then in place of Shadab, Rumman could play (batting at number 10), as Rumman limited overs average and economy rate is much better than Junaid.

Just pray that the result of Pak vs Eng cricket match in wales comes same what it was in 5th ODI played between Pak vs Eng on Sept 2016 on same ground. Even though England team today is much stronger than what it was year ago, I believe, if Pakistan put in right team and play them in right batting order, than result could be anything.
[There is no harm in having wishful thinking and good hopes, right? ;)].

Courts k match fix hay!!! Courts are trying to live in short-lived-hype!!! By ignoring real issues with them and living on borrowed life!!
Results are predictable!!! Nothing will happen here, if Scotland cannot gather enough proves to convict Altaf Hussain in UK, how come these CSS officers who are corrupt to core and lives like Kalay English Man in their own colonies where commoner is not permitted…can do anything other than what they are doing now…that is media stunt…we saw that with Dr. Asim, then with that Model Girl!!! What happened their…later was caught with half a million dollars…and yet our courts allowed her to leave…and not to mention…the Bravadao Mushy who hid in hospital later ran away…still have no guts to come back to Pakistan…
These matches are certainly interesting, with Australia not been able to complete single match, where South Africa have lost it, where times whi merely qualified to play CT are playing Semi finals by winning one or two matches only…

With Misbah not available, you need the steadiness of a Hafeez to build a strong foundation.

Re: 1st semi-final: England vs Pakistan | 14th June, 2017 | Cardiff -
Pakistan won the toss and decided to field. Good decision, as, if Pakistan had decided to bat than Pakistan tuk-tuk brigade would make sure that they play tuk-tuk, waste as many balls as they can, and then to even give 230 target would be difficult (due to early batsmen wasting balls). On the other hand, when chasing target, team would know the pace they need to play to achieve target.
So, even though Pak can lose whatever the decision is taken, for Pakistan to win, chasing runs is best option (where team and players would know what is expected from them). For instance, target of 350 needs different game than chasing target of 250. But batting first, the way some Pakistani players play, they cannot give high target … just imagine, in match against SL, Azhar made 2 runs in first 19 balls he faced … that is suicide and could make team lose the match guaranteed if chasing 300 plus target but chasing 236, Pakistan in the end managed.
Re: 1st semi-final: England vs Pakistan | 14th June, 2017 | Cardiff -
Fahim and Amir out
Whereas Hafeez still playing…
Why?
