**Give us an account of your 1st Ramadan after Shaadi.
How was it different/similar than your pervious Ramadans when you were unmarried? What were you expected to do and did you help in shehri/iftari preps? Were your Ibadaats/prayers any different (increased or decreased)?
Basically, what do you think is expected from a girl for her 1st Ramadan after Shaadi ad what should she do?
This is my first Ramadaan after getting married. My husband and I live in a different city than our family (about 5 hours away), so we are on our own. My mother and mother-in-law gave me samosa's, rolls and kebob's while I was visiting last week, so I didnt have to make any of those on my own. But since we are on our own, I will have to do all the cooking for iftar and dinner. When I was with my parents, I would just help out my mom making iftar (not dinner). And I would help her clean up afterwards. When I was at home, I would pray and do ibadaat, but I always felt like I could do more.
Now that I am married, I find myself praying and doing more ibadaat, especially for my husband and family. It feels nice though....having my own home, and doing all the ramadaan/iftar/sehri preps on my own. I'm enjoying it so far.
This is my first Ramzan after shadi. I made sehri this morning, we had has agreement that he will wash dishes and alhamdulilah he did. :) Now I am making iftari.
yes last night we had a little talk about the moon sighting.
Ramzan from parents home is different as now I am the one whole is running the house and not ami. :)
so far our ramadhan's been good alhumdulillah. My husband is a hafiz so he leads taraweeh at the local masjid, therefore is busy most of the day with his quran but it's good to hear him - only downside is that we can't go to any iftari's because he has to be here for taraweeh... other then that we have iftari at my in-laws house and sehri at our own place.
This is my first ramzan after shadi. We are abroad away from our families and I am pregnant so aint fasting. My hubby does sehri on his own and does not bother me for that. I prepare iftari for him when he is back from work. The only difference is that I miss my sisters over iftari and that I am not fasting for the first ramzan ever.
