There’s no way Afridi should be sent in at 8. He only scores at that position if the team is already in a good position and the top/middle order has piled up a decent total. If the top order collapses, so does Afridi. His thinking is “If the top order didn’t do squat, then I sure ain’t sticking around for much longer.”

Yes, Afridi should be the opener and Akmal, the #8. The shots that Butt, Akmal, Malik got out to would’ve sailed over the fielders’ head if hit by Afridi. Inzimam had to fail once in a while, but Malik doesn’t look encouraging.

maa ppl maa pppl wat dont u understand . have u fogetton the old AFRIDI the one who used OPEN and i think that was the one reason who got him out of the team. thats wat i think there shouldnt be any position for afridi but opening we should have regular openers if inzi want to go with kamran than stick with him that gives us an extra top order batsman . we should use AFRIDI and RAZZAQ whenever we need t o improve a better strike rate he could be used right after shoaib malikwhen thing get lil easy or even we need to boost up but sending him as opener in ODI dont make that mistake again
