After wonderful start I was hoping rest of the team would take it beyond 300 but damn middle order again (Younis, Yousuf and Umar). Yousuf and Umar were stupid again. Umar needs to stop throwing his wicket otherwise he will turn into likes of Imran Farhat soon.

how was the fielding guys?
Pakistan crossing 250 against Aus is an achievement in its self. We were unable to do that even in few test innings...

Umar to me has no mind ...........he threw his wicket 6 times in tests n he did it again cant he understans that he has to bat longer n take his team to a big score

Good show by Afridi. It's a shame he didn't get 50. He got hit for 3 sixes in a row in his last over. That sealed the deal for Aussies. But good show by Pakistan.

Akmal's keeping was medicore as usuall and fielding was a bit better...but as usuall we did have a dropped catch...Butt being the culprit. I dont get it with these people...they bat well and they think their job is done.
But to me, Akmal must be replaced. Aussies needed 22 runs of 21 balls when Aamer bowled a brilliant over, only 2 runs of it untill he bowled a slower one which completlely decieved the batsman but Akmal being at his pathetic best, let ball go through right under his gloves for 4 byes...I know its only 4 byes but in the context of the game, he took ALOT of pressure of the batsmen at the time and pretty much let the game slip from there onwards...

It is true what they say about losing syndromes and mental attitudes. When you lose a few games in a row, esp. games you know you should have won, losing becomes a habit with the team, a habit that is very difficult to shake off
The team is stuck in a bad losing rut. Can they win atleast one game on this tour?

Akmal was decent behind the wicket. There were no dropped catches or other glaring mistakes. Even the 4-byes was a hard to get ball that bounced just before reaching him.

Akmal's keeping was fine. That's the advantage of ODIs, there's less pressure on the keeper and mistakes are tolerable. Replacing Akmal in Tests is fine, but in ODIs it's a much harder decision because we do need his batting.
The 4-byes was a somewhat difficult ball to since it bounced just before Akmal. The game was already over at that stage.. bye or no bye it wouldn't have made any difference.
Pakistan's fielding was indeed a lot better than before, except for the dropped catch. It was the field placings by the captain that lost us the match.

Expected result, and it is the result that counts.
Pakistan lost again to a very mediocre Australian team.
