Ehsan bhai, I thought Nazir looked in real good touch and he was caught brilliantly. He is an okay aggressive opener and we need someone like that. I would always open with Nazir (with Hameed or Butt) in one dayers.

We will never have a 70 odd opening partnership with any of these 3 opening the batting. Desperate times when we consider Imran as a good opener. Where are the Majid's, Sadiq, mudassar, mohsin, Saeed, Amir etc of these world. Our current openers are like galli kay players in front of these players.

Actually its about time we realize that we should not expect any bright start from our openers. Its been 6 years since we had a decent and consistent opening combination. So its better to use Imran Nazir because at least he will score some quickfire 20 before getting out rather than Mohammad Hafeez (6 runs off 24 balls, LMAO)

It is amazing how many chances Hafeez has got. He has been persisted with since SA tour. It about time to drop him for good.
Imran Nazir has always played like this, so he can be catagorized with Afridi.
Butt has shown so much promise in domestic but i wonder what happened to him, once he entered the team.

Not really, we have full domestic cricket where they play 1st class 4 day games, one-days etc where they get "groomed" (supposedly), so stop blaming street cricket for destroying batsmen's temprament. Why don't you look at our middle order which has been our strength for so long? After WC'03 we lost our openers and now we are wandering to find a decent pair.

Guys, sorry for the loss but I think many of us are not “disappointed” as it was very much expected. Many of us were probably hoping to win it with some miraculous inning from our batsmen since we know our bowling is reduced to second string.
All in all, I think it is good match practice for us

bhai sahib, let them first provide a ‘half-decent’ start… something like a 100 in 25 overs? It has become a rarity that we get a 100 opening partnership (I don’t know when was the last time we saw one such).
If we are going to make compromise then why don’t we start with tailenders who usually play more sensibly than our so called specialist openers?

as the result is well predicted, but minnows Pakistance fought well, amazing to see them score 249 :)

nazir should stay as opener, butt gotta cover his mistake n come back but hafeez gotta b out of the team
