A friend of my had contact with some one from internet...they desided after 1 months to meat and it turned out great...i was with her cauz she didn;t wanted go allone and he also didn't wanted to come alone so he invited his brother with him....but okay is was a nice meeting u should go for it :)

Personally, when meeting people I've only ever known online, I'm a lot more safety orientated. I only meet them for the first time in very public places. The first person ever met was a guppy who I knew for 3 months - we met up at a train station in London and spent the day walking around the city.
i still can't believe what got into me to meet you and catty near the subway. i must have been outta my mind. i mean, what if you were some crazy dude or something, and catty was in on your plan? i probably wouldn't have made it home that day :D

it happened in the best possible way with me.. my friend( that i had known for five years yet never met).. also knew another gurl friend of mine.. who lived in his city... so when i came to her city to meet her.. he got togather with her and both surprised me.. as a surprise it was better coz i didnt have to worry abt how i looked or what to wear.. or even Get him:D.. hehe... turned out to be the most beautiful day of ma life.. ps.. my gurlfriend being there with me surely helped calm ma nerves down too!

Back in the early days of AOL circa 1998, I once decided to meet this desi girl I had been chatting online for a month. She lived like less than 20 minutes from where I lived. We decided to meet outside a movie theatre. We picked the movie, the timing and promissed that during out first ever in-person meeting we won't talk. We will meet at the concessions stand, don't say hi or anything and walk together inside the theatre. Watch the movie, walk out together and go out our ways. Then discuss this meeting over chat later in the night.

LOL. This is very interesting way to meet for the first time. What was behind this idea?

I later found out that she had a thick desi accent and did not want to embarras herself. I actually found it to be quite cute. We did meet a couple of more times where we did actually talk. She was not a very talkative person. We stayed good friends for a year or so before I moved out of state.
