Re: 1st Birthday

my daughter was born christmas eve. i never liked doing formal kids' parties, and would've loved a picnic, but december is the US doesn't allow for that. so we're thinking of doing it in a community center with a winterr wonderland theme. haven't figured out the details yet.

Re: 1st Birthday

For my first daughter we did the whole blowout lol. We ordered a white gazebo and invited friends to a local park ( we live away from our family so they couldn't come unfortunately) We did the whole princess theme. I bought everything matching cups, plates. napkins, pink white balloons etc and she had a great time even though she probably wont remember but it was her first so we felt the need to celebrate.

For my second daughters 1st bday which was this year 17 june we decided to have a joint party with her oldest sister as she was born 9th june and we took them and a group of friends and thier children to Wild Wadi which is a water park. The older kids loved it and my little one had a great time splashing around in the water.

Re: 1st Birthday

Sahar, Winterwonderland sounds like a fun theme esp. for Dec...

momof2angels, I know what you mean! 1st b'days are mostly for parents to remember and cherish...I just cant seem to get enough of my son...and I would have loved to have a big blowout but I dont have any family here either...so it'll just be friends....

~ChuniMuni~, Time does really fly! ...n thankyou so much for the sweet duas hugs ...

Devilish angel, that looks great....

I was thinking about a Pooh bear theme, either at a reataurant or a community centre...dont know where to start with the preps! :|

Re: 1st Birthday

alishaht- I know what you mean children are such a blessing. My little ones keep me occupied and the day just seems to go by so fast. How old is your son masallah he probabbly keeps you busy and is the light of your life. I think a pooh bear theme is great for a little boy you can find all sorts of decorated napkins, hats and such.
