Ok not sure if this is the right forum or not, but my baby girl’s fast approaching next month inshaAllah. We are planning a huge party with everyone we know (i think its rude to invite some of our friends and not others). Now for party favors, i have bought some inexpensive age appropriate books. Is that an ok party favor? I didnt want to go the candy route or to get anything that the child will not use. I did a lot of my shopping at Borders recent sale and got some good books. i am planning on just doing the books and no cookies, candies etc. I dont want to come out looking cheap so please help me figure out whats the appropriate ettiquette out there. So inexpensive but decent books should be ok, no?
Also should i get a little something for people with no kids?
i dont think u have to give anything to couples with no kids.. its a kid's bday and grown ups who expect a party favour just cuz they themslves dont have kids.. well they have issues i would say
i think a book is enuff.. its a great idea.. but if u want.. maybe throw in like.. stickers? a sticker sheet or something? or hey.. bookmarks with the books?
i would have added some candy or a mix bag or something.. but u dont want any sweets..
we went to this kid's bday party where the parents gave out coffee mugs with pics of the couple (the ones who didn't have kids) and pics of their kids (if the couple had kids) .... that was a nice party favor
