Richards was visibly upset when Pakistan took the 3rd pool match away from them after Yousuf and Qadir's heroics. No one including Richards was expecting that Pakistan will manage to score 10 runs of the last 3 balls with Qadir and Jaffer on the crease.
Considering that Allan Lamb took an earlier pool game away from them few days before, ,Richard indeed was clueless. 2 close back to back defeats were too much for him :) On the other hand Pakistani players were understandably ecstatic after that unexpected win. I dont think there was any gharoor issue going on at that time. Pakistan didn't even qualify for the semis at that stage. Later they beat England annd Lankans.
