Re: 1965 War
2nd lieutenant je, here is this idea! what about having a nice after dinner meeting with some seniors in your regiment! I mean if you are in pakistan Army then why you need to look for answers here!
Re: 1965 War
this is exclusion, I refuse to be excluded on the grounds of silly things like colour, race and wearing uniforms.
I know what drove "Drove Pakistan Into 1965 War "
it was the motor car/bus/ truck and shopping trolley drivers.
Thankyou for allowing me to have my say
Sincerely
Daisy.

Re: 1965 War
as a woman I have been predudiced against enough
I been shoved through doors first... with this ladies first nonsense...the only reason that ladies go first so they can squak when they find its raining outside and then the man can go get an umbrella and not get wet.
I bet it started off in caveman times when the woman was kicked out first and the nearest sabre toothed tiger got her first.
I suppose i have to to admit that there is and element of not having breakfast to blame for this post too!
Re: 1965 War
oh shyte! you got it all right! that was the cavemen's secret for population balance! see now we have to rely on other "unfortunate" events! but tradition goes on. thinking will it gonna rain today!

All you have to know is,pakistanis are of martial race, 1 muslim solder= 10 veggie-hindu soldiers and pakistan won all the wars.
Re: 1965 War
To the best of my knowledge:
It began with ‘operation Gibraltar’.
OG was designer to conquer Kashmir with the help of small units of army jawans.
Pak Army had three assumptions in mind
1. Weather will be helpful for us
2. Kashmiri people will admire this act and will help us in our invasion.
3. The, then, state-of-the art communication system of Pak army will be a plus point and helps us.
Pak Army grouped 7 army jawans in one unit and made 7 units having 7 jawans in each of them. This way they trained them for invasion as commandos.
Ok its fine up till here. Now the drama named ‘Operation Gibraltar’ begins.
The army transported these jawans to the Indian Held Kashmir (regardless of how it had happened).
The communication system totally jammed and Believe me ‘Pak Army have no contact what so ever is going on across the border
One out of seven units crashed and all 7 ‘Jawans’ died due to the heavy snow avalanche.
The great great and always great ‘Radio Pakistan’ was given the responsibility to keep the army updated due to the failure of there communication system.
And guess what! Radio Pakistan use to listen ‘Akashwani‘ to know the exect situation and transfer this to Army Officers. WAO
Out of 7, 6 units left and one was successful in reaching in some credible place to occupy. But the happy moments vanishes when the Indian Armey came to know the harsh reality of occupation of their area. The huge movement in Indian army initiated to respond. And ultimately they crashed this invasion.
Now the Indian army is in full anger. Planning of War has been begun.
Army over here was totally unaware of all what is going on across the border but enjoying their so called conquer. Pakistani Ambassador in Indian knew the situation and was aware of the massive movement in anger by Indian Army but he was unable to inform to his country. What he did was, he informed his counterpart in Turkish Embassy and ask him to transfer this information to his country and this way the information that ‘India is going to attack Pakistan’ reached in Pakistan.
This way the war initiated.
Please let me know if someone knows more and have some real missing part of this area of information.
Re: 1965 War
As always the great Pak army of martial race wolud have won ** But ** weather did not help…equipments were bad…on the top of that “All India Radio” was their line of communication
Have you head of planning…weather forecast…Testing the mic before mouthing..Testing one, two, three..Testing one,two,three…![]()
