Re: 1965 war…angels?

Re: 1965 war...angels?

This reminds me of an old English movie: The Gods Must be Crazy.
The old saying goes,"God helps those who help themselves". In the case of Pakistan what does God do when people keep making the same idiotic mistakes over and over again.
Someone commented on Indians having tea in Lahore. Does anyone remember what Operation Gibraltar and Operation Grand Slam were all about? How many people remember places like Rann of Kutch? These are mistakes Pakistan makes over and over again, a historical version of Kargil. I believe the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.
How many winning armies talk about angels fighting with them? How many winning armies talk of martyrs who blew themselves up in front of tanks? These are all acts of desperation and talks of heavenly guidance to boost the morale of a loosing army.
In my more cynical moments I wish India did not have to suffer fools like Nehru or Krishna Menon. I wish they did not have an idiotic sense of commonality, which most Indians now no longer feel with Pakistanis. Everything could have been settled in 1965. Lahore was already within range of Indian artillery.

Re: 1965 war...angels?

Just Indians trying to justify why they couldn't beat a smaller army after catching it by surprise

So how do u catch an invading army by surprise.. I am sure u know how that war started.. Ayub khan thought kashmiri junta are waiting for him to take over and send his 3-4000 soldiers to srinagar hoping locals will abet them but to his great surprise locals turned these clowns to indian army..
now tell me how did pak army then was caught by surprise..were they sleeping after initiating war or they thought india will just let go ..

Re: 1965 war...angels?

so u started war war was gong in ur favour and u still lost some real estate instead of accupying srinagar... those Kargil region used to be in pakistan beforer 65.. infact once George Fernandis indian defence minister was presented witha villager there who requested him to provide pension for his works before 65 in pakistan army:-)).. how did this happen

Re: 1965 war...angels?

what can you expect from that racist germanophobic spielberg

Re: 1965 war…angels?

The book “Alakh Nagree” by Mumtaz Mufti has some references to such super natural incidents during the 1965 war. They are pretty interesting, you won’t regret the reading atleast.

Re: 1965 war…angels?

i took a word out wich shud not be there

Re: 1965 war...angels?

the devil is not considered a fallen angel in Islam, he was a Jinn. Never an angel. Christians believe that he was a 'fallen angel'
