You want a flat screen? Or the old stuff?
Flat screen preferably
Here are all the 17’ monitors i found…
LG 17 inch 700S 8500RPS
ViewSonic 17 inch E70 9500RPS
Philips 17 inch 107E 9400RPS
------------------------------------17’ Flat
LG 17 inch Flat E700B 9200RPS
LG 17 inch Flatron 775F 9700RPS
Any opinion about LG Monitors?
I've heard that they are good but the colors of two monitors of same model don't match.

Hehe. Yes that is true. But only in their older models. The new models now have very good picture quality(atleast the ones in canada).
Well I have a SyncMaster 800 TFT from Samsung & I am using it for over two years now - The model I have has BNC - HD15 & LD11 (So three machines can be connected same time - u need different cables & adapters for it).
I am not sure if u can find it under Rs 10,000 - becuase my company paid 4200 Euros for it. But check the second hand if u can get one. Try Ebay site for further models.
While second hand moniters migh tbe cheap, it is generally a good idea to stay away from them. When (CRT)moniters get old, they tubes burn out and the picture(text mainly) gets fuzzy, the colors come out inaccurate and sometimes the screen is too dark even at full brightness and the same with the contrast controls. Some of the older ones get "ghost" images burnt into them, usually the windows start up logo. The ones in better condition cost a lot more but will not last as long as new ones. I recommend new moniters. They may cost more, but you get more bang for your rupay.

Probably, I have never used a computer in Pakistan but I guess that seems logical. If you care enough for your computer equipment than should get a good Power surge protector or, in Pakistan, than prolly a UPS. That may increase the life of computer equipment. It is sort of expensive but may save you alot of money in the long run.
If moniters go out quickly and if you can find a good second-hand one, than go for it. I guess it will be too expensive to get a new one if it will go out in 3 year unless you get a UPS. Wiegh your options.
Power Problem? No Problem!
Desi UPS made in UET Lahore running on Car/Truck battery rulez. Imported UPS are no match against them except they are larger in size.
Anyhow, can someone give any opinion about any samsung 17" flatscreen monitor which is around rs. 10,000?
