17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados

Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados

Can someone please make a list of excuses for master whingers England and e-mail/post it to their team management and all the British tabloids?

Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados

..........and also to Charles Colville on Sky Sports.

Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados

^ Yeah absolutely.......he's too full of himself

Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados

The orgy of falling wickets seems to be over for now...

141/8 off 42 overs...

Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados

142/8 after 43 overs

Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados

One good thing for England in this WC is Bopara. Bopara is a good addition to their late batting order. Gives them depth. If they get their act together, Bopara can extend their batting line.

Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados

I don't know why Smith took Hall out of the attack. He still has two overs left and could have finished things off. Very strange decision by Smith

Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados

Smith comes off as very traditional. Proly keeping him for the last 2-3 overs.

Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados

144/9
Panesar caught by Boucher off Nel

Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados

144/9

The last pair must cut loose themselves and hit and hit and hit till death... :D

Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados

seems like it. But when you have a side 8-down you should n't really be thinking of who will bowl the last 5 overs.

Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados

^ yeah. But I really think he is not much of a strategist. He is just leading a very good side.

This is probably the main difference b/w No1. and No2. Ponting is a much more thinking captain as it seems. or maybe it just seems so.

Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados

^ I think Fleming is very good too. I also like Jayawardene as captain

Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados

153/9

Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados

Smith is a useless captain: arrogant, big-mouthed, can't keep discipline in team, can't be taught, talk-before-he-think, slow to react to happenings on the field, narrowminded, etc, etc.

Problem is, there is no-one else in the South African camp. Pollock also battled to keep discipline, react to changes on the field, etc. Smith without all the arrogance.

Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados

It's all over
154 all out
What a pathetic effort from England

Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados

154 precious English runs... :D

But remember...SA are not yet in the semis...anything can go and happen... :D

Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados

I’ve heard that the English Cricket Board are making a help-line available for fans who are disappointed with the performance of the English team," emails Robert Petrovic “The help-line number is 1800 10 10 10. That’s 1800, won nothing, won nothing, won nothing.” :rotfl:

Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados

Looks like SA are going through to the semis. :crying:

Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados

Another important thing to consider is how long NZ cricket have shown confidence in their skipper. Fleming could have been replaced like India Pakistan after the last WC as well.
Same thing with Jaya.
